No smackdown, please, we're Republicans
Washington Times ^ | 4-13-07 | Wes Pruden

The Grand Old Gang that can't shoot straight ought to be particularly nice to Hillary Clinton and maybe even Barack Obama. Without an opponent like one of these worthies, the Republican candidate for president next year wouldn't stand a chance.

Hillary and Obama are racing to exploit the national fury at Don Imus, the potty-mouth talk-radio host. Mr. Obama says he will never go on Imus in the Morning, and not in the evening, either, and late yesterday Hillary hurried off to Rutgers to commiserate with the young women of the basketball team whom Mr. Imus called "nappy-headed hos." Their political instincts are sharp and consistent. They know their constituency, and they're careful to scratch their folks where it itches. Democratic pols know how to satisfy. Some of their Republican counterparts, on the other hand, are just as eager -- sometimes more so -- to scratch the itches of Democrats as to tend to the tingling places of their own.

Newt Gingrich, the man that some conservatives, unhappy with John McCain's economic notions and unimpressed by Rudy Giuliani's social conscience, briefly imagined could save the Reagan legacy, is merely the man who can't shut up.

“Don Imus, the potty-mouth talk-radio host”

Don is a liberal and this has been fun watching liberals eating liberals.

It was however only a matter of time before liberals were going to try and blame conservatives and republicans for the issues.

I guess that it is fine for Hitlary to accept donations from a rapper who spews out the most filthy stuff you could ever hear,

Duncan Hunter isn’t afraid to shoot straight.

It was fine as long as Imus was bashing conservatives. It all depends on whose ox is getting gored and he gored the wrong ox.

Newt is over, he might as well join the Green Party.

The GOP should call out Mrs. Clinton and Obama for the race pimps that they are. They should demand they answer the question: Was it right that the black stripper Crystal Gail Magnum to get a free shot at accusing the innocent Duke players of rape and not go to jail? They should ask if it’s appropriate for that race pimp, “Rev” Jessie Jackson to be providing the stripper Crystal Gail Magnum a scholarship?

Until this week I had never heard the phrase, “nappy-headed ho”. But now thanks to the media for making this an major issue, everytime I see Al Sharpton I will think, “what a nappy-headed ho he is”.

I know there is a big difference between female college basketball players and strippers. Clinton, Obama, and every other poverty pimp is trying to piggyback off this situation for their own political gain. If I was one of the accused Duke lacrosse players I would sue the pants off of them.

It’s not too early to ask. I wonder who the Constitution Party will put up?

Newt’s toast. McCain is burnt toast. I don’t think Romney is catching because of flip flops. Duncan Hunter is great, but seen as small potatoes. I think we are down to Thompson vs Giulani, and Rudy’s been shooting his foot with buckshot as fast as he can load.

Newt really makes me wonder sometimes. He is hard to figure out. Sometimes he is as hard as nails, and then he turns around and is soft as tissue.

Who does he thinks he wins over when bends over like that?

I though Rudy was in favor of gun control. Looks like he needs some shooting lessons. ;-)

I don't think Newt has a snowball's chance in hell. He said some pretty outrageous and stupid things in the past that would really come back and bite him.

I think Dick Cheney is teaching a class in that next week.

Newt has spent too much time in Washington. That, and the decline in testosterone production with age, can really mess a guy up.
