I know exactly what you are going through. I lost one of my best friends to cancer last week, also diagnosed in December. I was with him until just two days before he passed on.

My own mother died about four weeks ago.
She had always interposed what she felt was her autonomy, dignity, between herself and His Grace. This sad self punishment came to an end in the last days before her death. Her seeking and finding, her escape, release, from the crushing burden of having made sin her treasure, her encounter with The Most High has been so wonderful for me. Courage does not exist apart from His Grace. Truly His mercy is beyond understanding.
poppy - I don't know if I ever even chatted with kayak...but I've been reading and enjoying her positive posts for years.
May God bless this family and give them strength. Lord, thank You for blessing us all with kayak.
