WAYNESBURG, Ky. — Miss America 1944 has a talent that likely has never appeared on a beauty pageant stage: She fired a handgun to shoot out a vehicle's tires and stop an intruder.
Venus Ramey, 82, confronted a man on her farm in south-central Kentucky last week after she saw her dog run into a storage building where thieves had previously made off with old farm equipment.
Ramey said the man told her he would leave. "I said, 'Oh, no you won't,' and I shot their tires so they couldn't leave," Ramey said.
She had to balance on her walker as she pulled out a snub-nosed .38-caliber handgun.
"I didn't even think twice. I just went and did it," she said. "If they'd even dared come close to me, they'd be 6 feet under by now."

Believe it or not, just before I turned off Fox & Friends, one of the “Smarmettes” called this fine woman a “vigilante.” Fox is becoming unbearable.
Of course, anyone with a trace of honesty (unlike the so-called "journalists" in question) and an I.Q. above 60 (unlike the morons who believe their blather) knew this was baloney and that the so-called "journalists" were merely spewing forth Leftist propaganda in order to get Democrat candidates elected and advance their hidden agenda--their usual schtick.
Honest, open-minded people knew then and know now that
Phoney, manipulative politicians are not STRONG WOMEN.
Men love strong women! I know. I'm a man, and I do.
I love my wife! I depend on her. I lean on her! I love my daughter! I loved my mother! All STRONG WOMEN! I love my countless friends who are STRONG WOMEN.

I absolutely agree. They have taken a severe turn for the worst for the past four or five years.
The other thing about Fox is that they employ that wannabe philosopher Geraldo. The man fancies himself as a great communicator! What a dolt.
I simply have to turn it off when he comes on.
