Last night at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic was paid a visit by a film crew from French-Canadian TV 3 out of Quebec. The crew was there working on a story about Code Pink and they came up from the Pinkos' spot in front of Walter Reed to get our views on the war in Iraq.
Gael Murphy led a contingent of Pinkos up the block to our permitted area at the main gate so she could get some footage of the Pinkos 'dialoguing' with the Freepers for the film crew.
One of the Pinkos called our troops "the terrorists" in Iraq. That took an already contentious engagement to as close to blows as we've come in a long time. If it had been a man who said that instead of a woman, you might be looking at a ten count on the video instead of the verbal clashes that ensued.

The D.C. Chapter is out at Walter Reed every Friday night supporting our troops and their victory in the war on terror. Please make the effort to join us there. It means so much to our troops and their families to know we're there supporting them and protecting them from the anti-American left.

I didn’t know if anybody at my hotel was going to Walter Reed the night before GoE. I was a little upset that I didn’t go. Next time I’m in DC, I’ll make it a point to be there for a Friday night so I can go there.

Our local grocery store has giant chocolate chip cookies.....decorated with Code Pink symbols and pink icing.

Don’t her parents know there is a WAR going on in their country? Weren’t they free to leave?
Doesn’t Gael know that if the soldiers are being SHOT at, they will investigate who is doing the shooting and possibly return fire. I guess to Gael that’s an unreasonable response. Just like going to war was unreasonable after watching the towers fall in New York. In her sick mind, we should just wait around for the next building to fall.

One thing that struck me was that our side needs to be quicker on the draw with responses.

Sitting here in warmth, comfort, and safety, it is easy for me to say that the lady who answered should have thrown that right back in his face, instead of trying to give a sincere, thoughtful answer. However, I think it to be true.

One of the Iraq Vets against the War was caught on video while protesting at a soldier’s funeral. He told the media that the parents were unable to handle the fact their son died for a lie. I posted about it on my blog and have gotten craploads from the IVAW members saying this was simply an upset vet. I say it’s the norm and a true expression of their feelings. Same thing goes for Code Pink.
