there really isn’t much here to get to upset about - these “rights” like hospital visitation, organ donation - who really cares if these people want to willfully agree to these between themselves.

THose are rights they already have. They don’t need domestic partnership in order to do any of those things. Also, they can still BOTH get Social Security, which is why they threw in seniors, so it doesn’t look discriminatory. However, married couples do not have the same benefit.

there really isnt much here to get to upset about I have a sneaking suspicion from the wording in the article that the list is not exhaustive:
provides enhanced rights for same-sex couples, including hospital visitation rights, the ability to authorize autopsies and organ donations and inheritance rights when there is no will.
It's probable that the article left out the more pernicious requirements that reasonable Washington society must now follow.
