What is the use of winning if the Republican is a liberal, too? I will not support Rudy the liberal under any circumstances.

Mama mama mama.

I won't support him either. but if the choice is Rudy versus either the Clinton(s), Gore or sKerry, then I will 'waste' my vote, hold my nose and vote against the democrat.

The witches His Rootyness was preaching too lost all sense of decency years ago. Fried child would be not enough to bother them.

That concept has really worked well in Kalifornia, hasn’t it? Sorry, I’d rather be the opposition than complicit in that kind of moral degradation.

I guess you didn't read Buckley in those days, eh? Remember, I was (and still am) a solid Reagan supporter, and I read the things said about him by conservatives in his second term............and fumed. Accuracy is all I ask. I hope that's not too much for the Reagan-was-perfect-and-every-conservative-loved-him revisionists......

I susbscribed to National Review for years & remember nothing of what you described - Buckley 'trashing' Reagan.

I understand you're just shaping facts to suit your argument but it appears the owners patience with such tactics is wearing thin.

If you, as a conservative, help Giuliani get into the White House, you will, in fact, be responsible for the demise of America.

Perhaps...but if you hold you vote and allow a socialist like Clinton...or a whackjob like Gore...or a whatever the hell Kerry is... to win, then are you any less 'guilty'?

Reagan’s second term was brutal. I still don’t know how we got beat so bad in 1986. Once we lost the senate, the sharks circled in the water.

The Gipper tried to give us Robert Bork, then Douglas Ginzburg, then finally Anthony Kennedy as an SC justice. Kennedy had been a fairly conservative judge until he got to Washington.

Then there was Iran-Contra, which the libs tried to use as justification to impeach the man. But we had absolutely no voice. The libs and the Dems controlled the entire conversation. When they lost, like in 1980, they’d concoct some insane reason for it and whistle on their way, insisting everyone still agreed with them.

I cannot allow this party to return to 1975. There’s not much I can do, but at least I can register my opinion. We just had another 1974 election last fall. We were routed. In 1975, Gerald Ford and a bunch of thumb sucking Rino’s presented us with JP Stevens, as a Scotus nominee, who is an absolute curse and abomination. That’s when the Gipper was doing his radio shows and denouncing everything in sight.

I don’t understand people who won’t fight for a conservative candidate in the primary. To accept such a loathesome choice between Hillary and Giuliani is like choosing between a cold and the flu. I don’t like Rudy, nor do I trust him.

I was here then, but the big difference is that Steve Forbes was a conservative, not a fraud like Rudy Giuliani. That’s why no one told you to leave. On the other hand, if you had tried to push Olympia Snowe, Lincoln Chaffee or some other RINO as a conservative presidential candidate, you likely would have run into some strong resistance.

So are you trying to get me banned because as a staunch Reagan supporter I didn't like what conservatives said about him in his second term?

Interesting tactic.

if you hadn’t tried to use Christianity as a weapon, I might have been inclined to answer it.

You read into a simple question what you wanted to read into it. Ask me the same question I asked you and we'll see how long it takes me to answer and what my answer will be. I do not need to think about or ponder the question. I will not obfuscate, as many do here.

Ask me if I'll vote for rudy? Ask me if I'll put all that I've ever been and ever will be or ever believed in in regards to my country, family, rights, privileges, and God, then ask me if I'll vote for rudy against all that?

Ask me?

Because I would rather leave it to those more direcly concerned - if I were just not forced to pay for them, that’s all I ask for. You see, I am not a collectivist, and thus I am against collectivist coercion, the kind they do in china. Right now it is the decision made by the mothers [mostly], with possible involvement of would-be fathers and sometimes other family members - OK, leave it there. Now, if only they could bear all the charges.

I am going to work for a solid conservative in the primaries. (I have not yet made a choice).

That's what we ALL need to do. That's all we can do.

My best guess would be a spike heel from one of Rudy’s dancing shoes.

No one told me Steve Forbes was a conservative. They told me I was some sort of non Christian. I remember that.
