I don’t understand people who won’t fight for a conservative candidate in the primary. To accept such a loathesome choice between Hillary and Giuliani is like choosing between a cold and the flu. I don’t like Rudy, nor do I trust him.

I don't understand why we won't let the primary process play out like it has for a couple hundred years.

It is wonderful to oppose Rudy. Or McCain, of Hunter, or whoever the hell we want to oppose. Somebody please explain to me why conservatives, or even conservatives at this forum, have to be in agreement about a candidate before the first debate, much less the first primary election.

I don’t care. You like Rudy, fine with me. But you also need to realize that the great majority on this board does not.

To me he’s the antithesis of goodness, honor, loyalty, fidelity, and masculinity. He’s a metrosexual, which I detest. He agrees with me on next to nothing. He would be a foil, an ersatz Republican. He is what he is.

You guys are the ones telling us to only look at the general election matchup, and looking ahead to Hillary versus Rudy. Why don’t you answer anything I just said. But Rudy people never do. It’s always “he’s the only one that can win” or some bugaboo. Why don’t you tell me why I should trust a man with my gun rights who has his picture taken with Chuck Schumer at a Handgun Control Inc. rally?

That would be nice.

If we can't fight against socialism's galloping intrusion into the conservative Republican party during the primaries, when can we? If we don't knock this liberal out now and he becomes the Republican nominee, then we're REALLY going to be in for a fight. There is no way on God's green earth that we are going to elect an abortionist. socialist to the White House from the Republican party. That would be complete and total surrender to the culture of Marxism. GOP RIP!

The difference is that with the Internet and the research skills that FReepers are famous for, we're able to quickly dig up information that we pretty inaccessible years ago. FReepers quickly realized that Giuliani was the most liberal Republican presidential candidate ever and we saw precisely how he was trying to hijack the Republican Party. That has to be stopped. I haven't been this passionate about an election because we've never had such a damned liberal running, let alone emerging as the front runner.
