Lakewood Man Wants Guns Allowed On College Campuses

Former College Student Opts Not To Graduate Because He Cannot Carry His Gun.

just three classes short of graduation, is not going back to Front Range Community College because of its campus rules on guns.

"I've carried a gun every day for six years. I have a permit. Everything is legal. They still will not allow me to carry on their campus because it violates their student code of conduct," said Aaron Brown, a former student.

Brown was suspended for six months after he was found carrying his gun on the college campus. He has no plans to come back and finish his associate's degree in science once his suspension is up.

"I'm not allowed to protect myself while I'm there. I can protect myself anywhere in the state but not at their school," ...

Brown said the Virginia Tech shootings have really made him question his safety on any school campuses. While Colorado lawmakers said they understand where Brown is coming from, they have different approaches to what should be done.

"Lakewood Man Wants Guns Allowed On College Campuses"

As well they should be. The best thing in a situation like that at VATech is to have hot lead coming back at the shooter as soon as possible...and hopefully on target.

Security is layered.

The armed citizen is the last layer of defense.

Democrats and anyone who opposes concealed carry by citizens that are proficient, trained and know the law put innocents in danger.

Blood is on their hands.

“I agree with Aaron Brown. I think he should have that right. I’ve actually tried to change the law to give him that right,” said Republican Colorado Sen. Greg Brophy.

This always gets repeated:

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

“The armed citizen is the last layer of defense.”

I think the armed citizen is the first layer of defense. The police were the last ones to show up at VT.

The media zeitgeist dictates that he should not be allowed to have his gun on campus when the fact of the matter is that it could be the one thing to save his live at some point.

"They still will not allow me to carry on their campus because it violates their student code of conduct," said Aaron Brown, a former student.

So violate the code of conduct for God's sake. Who in the hell will know he's carrying?? It's concealed! That means no one knows he has a weapon on him. I'm sure the students aren't being searched. So there really is no issue here. Just apply a little civil disobedience to the problem, and there will be no problem.

Perfect.

The victims (citizens) are AT the ‘scene of the crime’, the authorities have to be ‘called in’.

The Story doesn’t give this “student’s” age. I’ll wager that He is older than Cho!

You said — “Who in the hell will know he’s carrying?? It’s concealed! That means no one knows he has a weapon on him.”

Well, then how did they find out the first time?

While Colorado lawmakers said they understand where Brown is coming from, they have different approaches to what should be done.

Yes indeed. The liberals have declared the campus a Gun Free zone therefore it is absolutely safe. /sarc off

I'm going to stick with policy that schools should be able to decide what's best for them in order to have the most security for the students," said Colorado Majority Senate Leader Ken Gordon.

Notice that they do not mention what part this jerk is from? Second this is the definition in insanity. Doing the same thing over and over (no guns on campus) and expecting a different outcome.
