For those reading this thread, the National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL), is a basically liberal organization. I say that as a result of my 25-year association with a competing, conservative organization of state legislators, the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).
It would mean a great deal more if Senator Thompson had received the annual Thomas Jefferson Award from ALEC -- among the recipients of that award was Ronald Reagan.

Tom Tancredo was in NH yesterday and said Fred Thompson’s immigration position “sucks”. If that’s true, forget about this guy.

I’m a Thompson supporter but you really should put the date on the title since it is six year old news.

Liberals and conservatives that are only issue oriented or who want their turn in power, struggle to understand Fred Thompson. He indeed is a Federalist. Learn more about
Fred Thompson and his beliefs at Another Ronald Reagan.com I have voted for Fred Thompson twice as a conservative, prolife, second amendment supporting, constitutionalist. I have not always agreed with Fred Thompson, but he is thoughtful and can explain his position. I can't ask more of an elected official. The next election was my quality control check.
