They wouldn’t mind too much, either way it swings the country leftward.. and those GOP’ers that are doing a balancing act would be more apt to come out of their liberal closets with Rudy at the helm.. but I do tend to agree that the MSM will lower the boom on Rudy once hitlery or osamabama win their primary.

I just finished formatting this same speech so I could post it. : )

I remember the starvation of Baby Doe. My baby was eating baby food at the time. I had such nightmares about the murder of that dear child. I remember one couple (there were probably many) stepping forward, and begging to be allowed to adopt the baby. But the “parents” would have none of that.

In the last couple of weeks the LAT, the NYT, and the Boston Herald have written puff pieces about Giuliani.

They're really hoping he's 'our' guy for a number of reasons in my view.

First of all, he's a lib. And anything they can do to advance the liberal agenda they're going to do. That includes 'liberalizing', for lack of a better word, the Republican Party. Rudy does this in a big way.

Second, even though they know Rudy will trounce Hillary (that assumes she's the nominee, I doubt she will be) they'll still have a pro-abort, anti-Federalism lib in the WH. They win again.

Third, they know Rudy is a big McCain-Feingold supporter. With him in the WH they don't have to worry about some pesky conservative trying to alter or repeal that stupid piece of legislation.

So it makes perfect sense that the legacy media is all over the Rudy bandwagon. He's their wet dream in a Republican candidate.

No matter who loses the election, they win.

Reagan never gave it as a speech. It was published as an essay in Human Life Review magazine in 1983. Later it was published in book form. Its one of the greatest pro-life documents ever written, by anyone.

LOL - I knew that. I did say “speech” though, didn’t I? It must be past my bedtime. I’ll see you tomorrow, somewhere around post #5,342. Have a good night.

I see it now. Win/win situation for the lefties. I am rather surprised that the Boston Herald is doing this, but nothing surprises me anymore. I grw up in Newton, Mass. ,so I know the mindset there all too well. I remember when Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont were solidly conservative.....guess at 53, I lived too long : )

One must remember that the ultimate goal of the left is the destruction of any remaining vestiges of Federalism. If they can get that from a Dem, which they know they will, then great.

If they can't get it from a Dem, they'll take it from the most liberal Republican they can find. And that my friend is Rudy.

...and hope we'll be fooled.

We won't be.

First, media hoists 3 "frontrunners" on us, then Time grafts a tear on Ronald Reagan's face on its cover asks "Is conservatism dead?" and tells us "How the Right went wrong".

No, we aren't fooled. We shouldn't be "Bod Doled" again, and Bob Dole was more conservative than any of "our frontrunners", he was just a very nice man with a mediocre Senate record and very poor campaigner who thought media liked him.

2) Pigs fly

3)When it begins raining up instead of down

I can’t fathom what makes anybody draw a comparison between Ronald Reagan and Rudy Giuliani.

I can, it would be like comparing an elephant to a piss ant.

A true story that will happen in America in the not too distant future if people Like Rudy Giuliani and the liberals get their way.

Setting: the state operated federal human reproductive rights birthing clinic in a central California town.

Please sit down Mrs. Robinson, I'm afraid I have some bad news for you. It seems that even though your pregnancy has been normal all these months, your chil.., er, the fetus has developed a problem. We've run a series of genetic tests and unfortunately, they reveal that your fetus has a genetic defect. A mutation has occurred which alters the genetic structure of your fetus and creates a condition called muscular dystrophy. This is an incurable, untreatable disease that makes it impossible for your baby's muscles to develop normally. Your child will be severely handicapped from birth. I'm sorry.

Sobbing, but the pictures and videos you showed us... our son looked normal and so beautiful. His face and eyes and nose and little mouth and ears and his little toes and fingers. He looks so normal and perfect. He looks just like his grandfather and we love him so much. Sobbing.

I'm sorry, Mrs. Robinson, There's nothing we can do. Boys with this disease rarely are able to walk or function normally. They usually die at a very young age. They'll sometimes live to twelve or thirteen and with rare exceptions they'll live a little longer. Rarely do they reach adulthood.

Sobbing, but isn't there anything you can do for my poor baby?

I'm sorry. There's nothing we can do.

Can you refer me to another doctor so we can get a second opinion?

I'm sorry, but federal law does not allow that.

Well, can we pay for a private doctor to help us?

I'm sorry, but federal law does not allow that.

Sobbing, but what will we do?

Well, since your baby can never lead a normal life and will never be a productive member of society, the law requires us to terminate your pregnancy immediately.

Sobbing, but sir... isn't there any other way? Can we appeal to someone higher up?

I'm sorry, your case was reviewed by the birthing board last week, and it was decided that your pregnancy should be terminated immediately... and that's why we called you in today.

Sobbing, but what about my husband? He doesn't even know...

I'm sorry, but federal law does not require spousal notification.

Sobbing, but... but... I'm seven months along. You can't do an abortion.

Don't worry, Mrs. Robinson, we have a safe and painless procedure that we perform hundreds of times per month in cases like yours where the defective fetus must be removed in a late term pregnancy.

Sobbing, what do you mean?

First, we position the fetus so that it will deliver feet first, then we deliver the fetus up to its head. Then the birthing technician inserts an instrument and removes all tissue and matter from inside the defective fetus' skull. The skull is collapsed and extracted and it's all over. Very simple, quick and painless. We'll have you back on your feet in no time.

Sobbing, I want to go home and talk to my husband.

I'm sorry, but federal law does not allow that.

Sobbing.

Ok, Mrs. Robinson it's time to go to the birthing room.

Sobbing, but, sir, I want to call my Pastor and have him pray for us first.

I'm sorry, but federal law does not allow that. We cannot recognize mythical beings on government property, nor may we allow religious cult practices or ceremonies. Prayer is definitely not allowed on public property.

Sobbing, but, but my God... please Jesus...

Interrupting, I'm sorry, Mrs. Robinson, but we must go to the birthing room...

Sobbing, but what about after? Can our Pastor pick up the remains of our beautiful baby boy so we can have a Christian burial?

I'm sorry, but federal law does not allow that. We cannot allow religious ceremonies or cult practices on public property. Besides, we use all tissues and organs from terminated pregnancies. The stem cells are used in research. Your fetus' defective cell system may help us discover cures for MD and many other diseases. If any of his organs are good, they will be frozen and saved for later transplanting into children whose parents can afford such luxuries. Any remaining or unused tissues or body parts will be incinerated in our facility.

Hysterical sobbing, Dear Lord, Jesus please deliver us from such evil... The Lord is my Shepard... I shall not want..

Interrupting, please Mrs. Robinson, we really must go. The birthing technicians waiting...

Does Rudy Giuliani measure up to Ronald Reagan?

No! But who does? It's like trying to find someone to measure up to Cy Young. There is currently no one in the field or on the bench.

That was a chilling, and possibly realistic, scenario.

God help us if these baby killers gain further victories.

I have seen Rudy supporters try to use the fact that Reagan had also been divorced.

He was married to Jane Wyman as a young man. He married Nancy in 1952, had a family and a loving marriage, a love story that lasts even after his death. We have seen some of the beautiful letters that Ronald had sent to his wife. Nancy shared those with us while Ronald was suffering from Alzheimers.

This is devotion. Rudy and his marital escapades are in no way equivalent to the Gipper.

It seems the Rudy people like to tear Reagan down if they believe it helps Rudy. At the same time, they try to equate Rudy to Reagan if its useful to Rudy.
