I have seen Rudy supporters try to use the fact that Reagan had also been divorced.
He was married to Jane Wyman as a young man. He married Nancy in 1952, had a family and a loving marriage, a love story that lasts even after his death. We have seen some of the beautiful letters that Ronald had sent to his wife. Nancy shared those with us while Ronald was suffering from Alzheimers.
This is devotion. Rudy and his marital escapades are in no way equivalent to the Gipper.
It seems the Rudy people like to tear Reagan down if they believe it helps Rudy. At the same time, they try to equate Rudy to Reagan if its useful to Rudy.

I know I've drawn my own conclusions about Rudy based on his own words, but I've been reminded by Hildy, and another FReeper through FReepmail, that since I live way up here in Alaska, I can't possibly know what I'm talking about. Apparently Rudy's stand on social issues take on a whole new meaning when served with NY style koolaid. I'd say more, but I'm facing a hugh and series situation right now. A better comparision is Guilliani to Lieberman. The only redeeming position for each is that they support the war against Islamofacism.
