Then tell your boss to close the borders, Dick

Silly - terrorists don't cross our Southern border - only 'undocumented workers' do that!

Interestingly, “Jericho” has a similar plot line.

Only the bad guys are us.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho_(TV_series) for a well thought out view of the TV show.

You might read

Pat Frank’s “Alas, Babylon”
O.Scott Cards “Folks on the Fringe”

The very good “Lucifer’s Hammer” by Larry Niven or even such classics a “Panic in the Year Zero” or any of the RAH classics (Fifth Column, Starship Troopers, etc).

Nuclear annihilation or at least a bad pasting has been around in the US fiction market since before the bomb. (Money Quote) Politicians pay as much attention to it as they do you (collective us) - none at all.

Well, to answer this , they will only care if Americans should find out and hold them to account. As far as suit, you are right.

One thing we can do is make sure that the Islamofacists don’t get control of Pakistan and their nukes.

Too late FRiend.

We need here in the US what Israel has, a group whos sole job is to find terrorists and kill them, no publicity, no trials, no problems.
If we suspect they are terrorists we take them out and that means not to dinner.
And if their was a civilian group banding together like a militia to do this “proactive” service I would join up in a heartbeat.

Humor is predicated on truth. The sad truth is that your post is totally believable.

.....the threat of terrorists detonating a nuclear bomb in an American city: “It’s a very real threat. ... Something that we have to worry about and defeat every single day.”

Not only will this result in the deaths of many Americans, it will also be the demise of the democRAT party.

Do you have solid evidence that the Islamofacists have gained control of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal?

I'm not talking about their scientists who have sold the technology, but have control of the hardware itself?

I agree, and I think there are. The $25 Mil bounty on Osama’s head has brought out a lot of mercenaries.

There is no war.

I still don’t think that would change the tone. The American naysayers would simply say, it’s what you get. If someone is committed to hating the US, or anything for that matter, evidence from outside the heart does not change that commitment. Usually, unless the heart itself is changed. Do you think that evidence would change the mind of a Cindy Sheehan-minded person about the truth of the hatred he or she spews? It’s a very sad state of affairs that we have so many free Americans who hate their country.

(I happen to agree with you about Jorge).

Cheney: Threat of nuclear attack in U.S. city ‘very real’

Yes and the open borders and open ports policy of the current administration will have allowed it to happen.

We wont fully commit to the war until after we lose an entire city.

we wont commit then either. we will blame ourselves or our leaders. Sad but true.

FWIW, Needlenose (lol, love your screenname!), Al Qaeda has been boasting of an American Hiroshima since at least 2005! http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=45203
http://english.aljazeera.net/English/archive/archive?ArchiveId=16505

Only recently have I heard the term “British Hiroshima” as well. There is no doubt in my mind that every word Cheney says about this is the truth - and God only knows how many Terrorist attacks the government has foiled.

We are not prepared for an attack in the slightest. Not prepared at all.
