Citing singer Sheryl Crow's stance on abortion, Archibishop Raymond Burke said today he has resigned from the board of the Cardinal Glennon Children's Foundation, the fundraising arm of Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center, in protest over Crow's participation in an upcoming fundraiser.

Hey Sheryl, it's gonna take more than one square to clean up that mark!
Kind of ironic given how baby-hungry she was with Lance. Maybe if she encouraging so many to be sucked into a sink she might be able to adopt one.
From what I’ve heard, he left because she was behind on her paperwork.

All right, and I like your tagline too.
Someone standing up for what he believes in. What a welcome change.
Kuddos to the Archbishop! She should have never been invited!
“From what Ive heard, he left because she was behind on her paperwork.”
Good one!
Purel ping!
Kudos to the Archbishop - and assuredly to Michael Ramirez.
Pushback. About time.
LOL!
Would have been more realistic with little flies buzzing around behind her behind!! Ewwwww.
Memo to Attorney Allred:
Abortion is not about ideology.
It's about murdering (unborn) kids.
Good for Archbishop Burke!
We've not heard a peep about Senators Kerry or Kennedy from our Archbishop - EVER!
LOL .. that one took a minute, nice and subtle
While I realize many of my conservative brethren will applaud the Archbishop’s stand, it only benefits him in the short term. In my humble opinion, he would have been better served by requesting to make opening remarks at the fundraiser regarding the sanctity of life in general, something the board would be hard pressed to deny him. He should also have stayed on the board. By resigning, he loses his voice for change. His timing is poor also, taking this action in the middle of the ADA, probably antagonizing moderate and liberal Catholics who also open their wallets to charity at this time each year.
In short, I believe he traded short term kudos and sacrificed an opportunity to pursue longer term goals, such as a steady march toward a time when abortions will be the rare exception, rather than a birth-control tool. I know he is a devout man who firmly believes in his stance. Perhaps those around him can persuade him in the future to choose his fights more carefully, and avoid being counterproductive.
