Of course not, because when people need money for drugs, we should provide it for them. Because, like the great philospher of our time, Doctor Meatwad has said:

He needs it, and when you need something, that's a responsibility that only an adult of my maturity...Bunnies!!

/ Sarc, of course.

I don't like it. But I don't like it when people take their pay checks and blow them on crack either.

That's not the point.

Let drug enforcement agencies and social workers address drug problems of these people.

Still if a person needs help or public assistance our first job isn't to determine if it's their own fault or not.

We help people who need help. Period. And address secondary issues afterward if needed.

This is absolutely how it is out there...many years and an ex husband ago...we lived on Welfare....the only time I saw the man was the day the check came in...he would cash it and then go to the local “shop and rob” and sell the food stamps for beer money...my kids went hungry...finally wised up and left the jerk.

The Welfare sytem enabled his addiction...when he wouldn’t look for a job or come to the office to pick up the check they took him off the welfare raised the amount...because now I was a “single parent” in their eyes and sent the check to the house...which made it so much more convenient for the bum to take off with everything.

I wake up every morning and thank God that I no longer am on Welfare....that I have a modicum of privacy in my life and that the jerk I was married to is no longer in the picture.
