American Judges? I doubt it would stop there.

I doubt a serious effort would be made to stop it until members of Congress find their and their family members names topping those hit lists.

Hoping it won’t come to that, but considering the danger the very few uncorrupted officials face inside those countries, when America deteriorates that far, we will have lost all hope for recovery.

Immigration

The former Senator argues that it is just not realistic to round up the twelve million illegal immigrants in the country and ship them out in one day. Instead he says America should have a realistic means of giving the illegal immigrants ‘aspirations of citizenship’ without affecting the rights of legitimate immigrants who are queuing up for citizenship.

JMO, but giving illegals aspirations of citizenship can entail removing the safe environment in which they now illegally exist....

Wallace did not use Fred’s terminology within its entire context.

Give them aspirtions for their old Mexican citizenship...or, here is a method to give them the proper aspirations for US citzenship IMHO:

If they leave voluntarily and peacefully, then they may be considered no earlier than 12 months later for a normal legal US entry and visas and the legal path to citizenship if they qualify and pass the background checks. If we have to round them up and deport them, then they are on a never consider list for the rest of their lives. And, OBTW, in that scenario before we deport them, they will work those 12 months on helping build the real fence on the border.

Here’s the “Rest of the Story”, sts...

“....You know, if you have the right kind of policies, and you’re not encouraging people to come here and encouraging them to stay once they’re here, they’ll go back, many of them, of their own volition, instead of having to, you know, load up moving vans and rounding people up. That’s not going to happen.”

I could live with that. Seriously - I would like to see a common sense approach made, but it comes first and foremost with stopping them at the border and stopping their illegal hiring then by us stopping paying Americans for not doing the jobs Americans refuse to do.

FDT is for securing the border and by his comments of illegals going back home of their own volition he indicates he has read and supports a policy of attrition.

A policy of attrition includes anything and everything that makes it difficult for illegals to survive in the USA.

San Diego's crime dropped considerably when the fence went up. It was a huge drop - something like 80+% for some crimes. Why would the same not be true elsewhere?

Which candidates support a fence anyway?

Fred’s record on immigration leaves a lot to be desired. That ‘can’t round any of them up’ stuff is the CFR coming out in him. We ‘forgave’ a million in ‘86 and got 4 million. If we ‘forgive’ this 20 million, we’ll get 4 times that this time as well. I hate that the situation has been created where the aliens children are US citizens, but that didn’t happen by accident either and it was smart and deceitful strategy. The innocent children of criminals always suffer, even foreign criminals.

If a mouse is hungry and smells cheese, then does he not find a hole?

Until government reforms "welfare" making the recipient's acceptance of "job (s)" ..as part of the criteria for government financial assistance , there will remain jobs in the US that able bodied Americans will refuse to do. Welfare as "written" today, keeps Americans dumbed down, dependent, unmotivated and a burden on hard working taxpayers.

A job corp mandatory as part of welfare will eliminate the need for illegal immigrant workers. To place a physical fence on a border will never deter a person who WANTS to WORK AND MUST BE PROVIDER FOR HIS OR HER OWN FAMILY.

The film Babel shows in part why often the most affluent of countries may not have the family values to the same degree as connected families from an impoverished country. One, therefore, is dependent on the other for survival.

If a fence can't keep out a motivated illegal worker, it certainly cannot keep out a motivated terrorist.

Remove the cheese, only then do you remove the mouse.

There HAS to be some motivation for them to destroy the greatest country in the world.

There is: he's a globalist, and "national sovereignty" just doesn't rank on the "List of Values" in the globalist mindframe.

I like him for the WOT; I voted for him twice, and I'd vote for him again if I could, but I'd as soon spit in his eye over his handling of illegal immigration.

Anyone who doesn't believe that isn't happening just isn't paying attention. They get rid of the people who are problems and expensive. The poor and the criminal.

Fox News, interview with Fred Thompson: WALLACE: Well, let me put up on the screen something that you said last year about illegals, and let's take a look at it. "You're going to have to, in some way, work out a deal where they can have some aspirations of citizenship but not make it so easy that it's unfair to the people waiting in line and abiding by the law." If this is not amnesty, I don't know what it. Case closed for me. 23 posted on 04/30/2007 11:42:52 AM MDT by kots <

I'll look to Fred for some clarification, but frankly my read of that statement, He's telling them to get in line. Aspiring to be an American isn't criminal, and clearly he doesn't suggest they get preferential treatment to those "waiting in line and abiding by the law." You should re-examine your suppossed closed case. Blackbird.
