My bet is that the Chinese navy is for defense and that as they have traditionally, they will go west through Russia, India etc.
The Russians are playing with fire by coddling China. The Dragon will attack the Bear when she is ready.
But it will take time to fully build and time to develop the policies and traditions necessary. During that time, we have the opportunity to blunt and even halt it far short of military confrontation...and as Reagen did with the Soviets, we should do with the ChiComms.
As to Russia and China, I tend to agree. I believe that ultimately, though they are working in concert against what they label to be a common adversary (us)...ultimately, there will not be enough room in eastern Asia for the two together, particulary and ultimately over the resources in Siberia.

I agree with you that China, Islamic belt and South America are a threat to US. China and the Islamic belt are also a threat to India. Europe is a spent force, a dying continent and hence does not matter. And I don't agree India could be or would want to be a threat.
