Gonzales is just the latest of the exposed failures of Bush appointees. There was Sec of State Colin Powell, Sec of Transportation Mineta, Secy of Energy Abraham, Secy of Housing Martinez, Secy of Treas, John Snow and O’Neill, EPA Director Christine Whitman, Press Secretary Scott McClelland, Pres Advisor and Nominee for Supreme Court Harriet Miers, 911 Commission Chairman Thomas Kean, as well as numerous lower Fed court appointments.

Bush has been an unmitigated disaster for the conservative movement.
