Good Morning Ladies :)
How are you this morning? It's a beautiful day! Must garden later. I was up very early and the birds are out in numbers. There are so many Chickadees in the yard.

The motrin helped my painting aches and pains. Now I get to go shopping for bath accessories. ;) The fun part. :)

Have a wonderful day!

We had thunderstorms the other night.

Don't you just love those little Chickadees. They were so active this morning. I really hope a pair take a house. I saw interest but so far no takers.

Bold Persistence

READ: Matthew 15:21-28

Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” —Matthew 15:28

In 1953, a fledgling business called Rocket Chemical Company and its staff of three set out to create a line of rust-prevention solvents and degreasers for use in the aerospace industry. It took them 40 attempts to perfect their formula. The original secret formula for WD-40—which stands for Water Displacement, 40th attempt—is still in use today. What a story of persistence!

The gospel of Matthew records another story of bold persistence. A Canaanite woman had a daughter who was possessed by a demon. She had no hope for her daughter—until she heard that Jesus was in the region.

This desperate woman came to Jesus with her need because she believed He could help her. She cried out to Him even though everything and everybody seemed to be against her—race, religious background, gender, the disciples, Satan, and seemingly even Jesus (Matt. 15:22-27). Despite all of these obstacles, she did not give up. With bold persistence, she pushed her way through the dark corridors of difficulty, desperate need, and rejection. The result? Jesus commended her for her faith and healed her daughter (v.28).

We too are invited to approach Jesus with bold persistence. As we keep asking, seeking, and knocking, we will find grace and mercy in our time of need

Something happens when we pray,
Take our place and therein stay,
Wrestle on till break of day;
Ever let us pray. —Anon.

Persistence in prayer pleases God.

Thank you All for the Beautiful Graphics and Jack's Poem on Warm Fuzzy Wednesday! I Hope you are All having a Good Day.

Meg, we had Storms Here at the King's Ranch Last Night, and what an Awesome Dislay of the Power of our King, as the Lightning Flashed and the Thunder Boomed. Over at my Metroplex Abode, the Storm was Apparently Worse and Uprooted a Small Tree in the Yard. I'm Thankful it wasn't the Huge Cottonwood we have; it might Crush my Mobile Home Like a Tin Can if it was to Fall Across it.

It's Clouding Up Again Now, but the Birds are still Singing, and a Hummingbird Came and Looked into my Kitchen Windows a Few Minutes Ago, and it was Real Cute. Have a Blessed Day, my Finest FRiends!

That beak is for catching fish..It’s a Kingfisher..One of my of my most fun bird watching finds closeby. I kept hearing a loud strange almost rattling bird song..so I got my binoculars and went hunting..He was up on a high electric line in a green belt two houses down.

They normally are near rivers and lakes ..Our lake is near but not that near I thought .Mine was a Belted Kingfisher as I believe your picture depicts. A dramatic looking bird indeed...larger than a robin.

My son was in the swaying B of A building downtown Dallas when the big winds hit..Awesome, loud and kinda spooky he said. He was glad he was on the 11th floor and not the 70th!

They just had their car repaired from hail damage so he was making calls to California and waiting out the storm before heading home.

I saw lots of trees down in the Dallas area on TV..There are some down in surrounding areas here..but we got no high winds in my yard. I have never unplugged my computer so much..The Lord gave us a powerful light and sound show indeed! I had another today.

Glad you stopped by to identify the little bird, Meg. I like knowing the proper name of the species, but I am nowhere near a proper “birder”...LOL. I know people who keep lifetime lists... you will know what I mean...:)

Kingfisher, it is!!

I know what you mean..I am not proper birder either but I love identifying the ones I see..I do keep a journal of sorts..I started making notes in my Peterson Guide about 1993 after I moved here and started feeding the birds on my patio..

It’s great diary to read when I start worrying about not seeing this or that bird anymore..I only note “new” things now but the old one helps me remember April and really early May are very sparce months of bird watching here at my feeder although they are out there singing their hearts out.

The internet helped me identify my mystery bird, the orange crowned warbler, this winter. Peterson described it perfectly but the pictures on the net confirmed it for me.
