At the end of his career he as the Red Sox 1’st DH. I saw him get thrown out at first (On more than one occasion) by the right fielder. (Man were his knees shot!)

I saw him get thrown out at first (On more than one occasion) by the right fielder. (Man were his knees shot!) Cha Cha actually could run pretty good early in his career (with the Giants). But when the Braves would come to Wrigley Field in the early '70s, and Cepeda still was playing the field, I thought he must have been the slowest man in baseball at that point.
But the guy could hit!
Now it looks like he's still getting his hits.
