Abraham had two kids. I’d maintain one of them didn’t turn out so well.

Bah!

I'll just say that, working in the justice system, I see the horrible fruits of self-centered nihilistic thinking every day.

. . . and the step kids who have been predated by a male relative are JUST as messed up as the bio kids. Take my word for it.

Yeah, but there were’t too many people around, either. No need for dating services back then.

I have met Moslem folks who are really very nice and talk about their religion in spiritual terms all the time. It’s very odd because I know the historical basis of their religion (from an outsider’s standpoint) is ludicrous. They could find the story of Christ to be just as strange because they don’t believe it, but I think Mohammad’s story is way more outlandish as the basis for a religion. They are raised into it, in societies that don’t permit anything else, and they buy into it. But in my view the likelihood that Mohammad was an actual prophet of God is nil. But then I view Mormons as decent people and I don’t for a second think their religion is from God.

With a step daughter its hardly incest. Sign the divorce papers and 5 min later you could be doing it with your (ex)step daughter in all glory. By the same token, if you are already doing it with a (future) step daughter, you must stop after you marry the mother. And should you choose to make your step daughter your wife after divorcing the step daughter's mother, you will have to discontinue relations with your ex wife who is now your mother in law (You will be a mofo if you don't).

Bottom line is -- you cannot do both if you are in a legal relationship with one. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

You can’t legislate morality but...

Yes, you CAN legislate morality, because we do that with every law that we pass. Laws on murder, theft, assault, bribery, etc... are ALL laws with MORAL foundations.

What is being argued is the ability to satisfy the strongest desires that humans experience, and to suffer no consequences for satisfying these desires.

GOD SET LIMITS.

If you reject God's limits, then you devolve into an animal. I hold to the position that we have an OBLIGATION to conduct ourselves by God's standards. And that means passing laws regulating human behavior, i.e morality.

You can always find out the truth about a muzzlum. When they say something all sweet and peaceful, ask them whether it applies to Jews too.

The Mia Farrow/Woody Allen/Soon Yi (or whatever her name was) fiasco still lives fresh in my memory. I still totally refuse to see any movie that that perverted self-absorbed nebish made or makes. A pox on him!

If it wasn’t for incest, where would new Democrat voters come from? By now the dead are already taken.

The rest of the story is that according to the stepdaughter it was not consensual:
The stepdaughter told investigators that she passed out on the couch at Lowe's home following a night of drinking with friends in 2003 to celebrate her 22nd birthday. When she woke up, she said Lowe was having sex with her.
So the prosecutor probably decided that, rather than bring a charge of rape which would degenerate into a "he said, she said", he chose to bring a charge which he could objectively make stick, since Lowe admitting to having sex with her

Hello Williams, I wasn’t trying to hijack this thread by discussing islam as a religion. I was merely pointing out that sex with stepchildren is A SIN (even Pagans were disgusted by the idea). Those defending parent/stepchild sexual relations are going against Christian teachings. I just wanted to give an example from other cultures. Sex with stepchildren is wrong, the only religion I know of that supports it is islam. Can’t be a coincidence can it?

I'm sure most of them hate or have stereotypical views of Jews. They've worked themselves up into an anti semitic delusion about Jews, the role of the United States in the World, terrorism etc. In addition they truly believe in a religion that to an outsider has its basis only in history and is absurd as the word of God.

As for the hatreds and prejudices they hold, I can analogize that to the way many Irish feel about the English, whereas we view both Irish and English positively. How's that for opening a can of worms? Just saying I can understand how people develop hatreds in this World, not excusing it. It's a reality we have to confront.

That’s more like a rape first-and-foremost. And besides, I’m sure the rape charge has much stiffer sentences than incest.

Well said!
As the saying goes if you repeat a lie often enough it becomes truth. The phrase "You can’t legislate morality" is one of the great lies of our times.
It is on the same level that people believe the phrase Separation of Church and State is in our constitution/bor. These phrases are treated as factual statements because they have been repeated so often. You can't get on with a conversation about morality in our culture until you have educated people to the reality that the Separation of Church State is a myth of gigantic proportions.
