George W. Bush was elected to a second term by a big majority of Republicans, half of political independents and 11 percent of Democrats. Now, more than two years later, the majority of those voters say they are satisfied with the Bush presidency. But some have lost faith, and those who have say it is because they can no longer back Mr. Bushs support of the war in Iraq.
Fifty-eight percent of Mr. Bushs voters say their feelings about the administration can best be described as satisfied but not enthusiastic. Nine percent said they are enthusiastic. But 26 percent said they were dissatisfied and 6 percent said they were angry, according to a New York Times/CBS News poll taken in March.
When asked if they approve of the way Mr. Bush is doing his job, 66 percent said they approve while 21 percent said they disapprove and 13 percent are unsure.

Congratulations! The whole world knows how f-ing stupid you are now.
Big spending believer in Big Government. But a good man.
Regrets, I have a few -- but President Bush was/is an order of magnitude better than the alternatives (God gave us an undeserved break this go-around).
...but at 39/59 among the entire electorate.

1.) This article/post is about REPUBLICAN support;
2.) RASMUSSEN has succombed to MSM ‘groupthink/act’ pressure and altered his sampling formula from 37% Republican/Republican-leaning Independents: 37% Democrat/Democrat-leaning Independents: 24% Unaffiliated in 2005 to the following sampling for the month of APRIL:
For the month of April, 2007, those targets are 37.5 Democrat, 31.8 Republican, and 30.5% Unaffiliated.
All of the disillusioned Republicans that I know are that way because of corruption, runaway spending, or (most often) poor immigration policies. Iraq might not even be in the top 10.
Oh, and while I dsagree with the president on several things (not the war....) I don’t regret my vote. Gore / Kerry would have been far, far worse.
Anybody who P!sses off the Democraps that much is alright in my book.
Like em or hate em. the Clinton’s showed how it’s done as far as fighting back. Our side could do the same thing and still have the truth on their side. The days of staying above the fray are over thanks to instant communications. If you don’t respond immediately and forcefully, you’re fried. This group at the White House have no learned that and it’s a shame.
Those are two biggies, and thirdly tax cuts! I think President Bush is one of the best presidents this country has had.
John Roberts
Sam Alito
No more needs to be said :D
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!
No regrets. None.
Regrets? I’ve had a few, though none about my voting for President Bush.
While I haven’t agreed with everything he’s done (especially on spending like Prescription Drugs), he has been a HUGELY successful president, in my opinion. His biggest weakness BY FAR is his refusal to trumpet the massive successes of his administration, both domestically and internationally, because of his respect for the office of the presidency and his refusal to engage in what he views as common partisanship. This has enabled his enemies to bitterly attack him without having to worry about reprisals. Here are his biggest successes:
1) Partial Birth Abortion Ban, due to his appointment of Roberts and Alito: President Bush is largely responsible for the biggest win the pro-life movement has had since Roe was handed down in 1973.
2) War on Terror: President Bush has, in complete defiance of the Media and the lefties in this country, defended our nation from another terrorist attack and gone after terrorists abroad on an unprecedented scale. He has been positively Churchillian on this, and history will remember him as one of our most courageous presidents.
3) The Booming Economy: Thanks to his embrace of Reaganomics, and his enactment of the broad tax cuts, this nation’s economy is absolutely booming, with all taxpaying Americans getting a tax cut. It has been a miraculous recovery from the wreckage of 9/11, and this President is responsible for that. This boom has resulted in all time record tax revenues pouring into the Treasury and a deficit that is soon to be eliminated, even with all the post-9/11 spending that was required.
"We interviewed 2 million people on Dubya, and of the 1,999,950 people that said they approved of President Bush's handling of the country, we are going to interview the 50 people who don't like him because we feel this group 'represents the will of the people'..."
It's all about the MEE-dia..
Remeber how the NY Times & CBS polled voters six years into the Clinton Presidency whether the regretted voting for BJ, now that he was being impeached? Good times, good times...
I am just grateful we had this man in charge on and after 9-11. Kerry or Gore would still be "talking" to the terrorists.
Would you want to spend 12 years in the White House?
It’s an extremely stressful job, to say the least.
Hopefully more can be said after this summer.
I think he’s fallen short of my expectations, but I’m glad it’s him in office and not John “Flip-flop” Kerry.
I think the President would heartily agree.
