George W. Bush was elected to a second term by a big majority of Republicans, half of political independents and 11 percent of Democrats. Now, more than two years later, the majority of those voters say they are satisfied with the Bush presidency. But some have lost faith, and those who have say it is because they can no longer back Mr. Bushs support of the war in Iraq.
Fifty-eight percent of Mr. Bushs voters say their feelings about the administration can best be described as satisfied but not enthusiastic. Nine percent said they are enthusiastic. But 26 percent said they were dissatisfied and 6 percent said they were angry, according to a New York Times/CBS News poll taken in March.
When asked if they approve of the way Mr. Bush is doing his job, 66 percent said they approve while 21 percent said they disapprove and 13 percent are unsure.

Regrets ? I would enthusiastically vote for him if he ran in 2008!
Everyday since 2004 I am grateful that Kerry is not our President.
Given the recent vote in the SC on PBA I too would vote for him again.
Regrets ? I would enthusiastically vote for him if he ran in 2008!
Enough is enough. I don’t have regrets but am glad their are only 8 years max for President or we may never have had President Bush and we would still have President Clinton. They were talking about him running a third time and winning. No the system is just fine!!!!
Jerk alert! Did Bush say he was going to do that? No. Next time pay attention, Homer.
Also, the courage to fight terrorism will be his stamp on history in the foreign issues category.
I've not been impressed with his compromise on some things--and I'd like to see him fight back more. He also has been hamstringed by Weasels in the Congress of his own party (Sphincter, Senator Betray Us of Nebraska, McLame...).
He is running a third time.
What color is the sky on this guy's home planet?
ROTFLMAO. Unfortunately your are right. Damn...
Co-President Clintons are running for another unconstitutional 8 years. And the media is encouraging such a legacy.
The appointments of Roberts and Alito to the USSC are two primary reasons why I don’t regret voting for Bush in ‘04. I shudder to think of who Kerry would have appointed.
This is a CBS News poll from last month — totally BOGUS! . . . Authentic Repupublicans do NOT respond to cBS polls; in fact, MOST Republicans refuse to cooperate with ANY pollster — yet another reason current MSM polling data is sooooooooooooooooooooo inaccurate!!!
[According to RASMUSSEN (who is also oversampling Democrats/undersampling Republicans), the President currently enjoys an almost 80% approval rating among Republicans!!]
But some have lost faith, and those who have say it is because they can no longer back Mr. Bushs support of the war in Iraq.
According to the reporterette, all of those who are dissatisfied with Bushs second term are specifically and universally dissatisfied because they are unhappy with the Iraq war.
I am skeptical of the reporterettes assertion on this point. Many people with working brains have the ability to evaluate a politician's performance on more than one issue.
I voted for the President twice.
That said, I’m very disappointed by his ‘coasting’ for the first two years of his second term. He lost focus regarding Iraq, failed to secure the border with Mexico, and keeps telling me I should support his amnesty proposal - while telling me it isn’t an amnesty proposal. Then wonders how the GOP lost both the House and Senate?
Now he’s getting beat down by the far leftwingnuts daily, and only recently decided to fight back politically.
He isn’t making it easy for those of us that elected, then reelected him, in short.
Given the choices, I regret I couldn’t vote for him twice.
Dammit. That’s what they wanted to say.
