If passed, this legislation will return to bite the ‘Rats and their America-hating affiliates right on the tail - because it means that all of the left-wing programs on PBS, NPR, etc., will be required BY LAW to provide conservative balance, and with some shrewd strategy and good legal counsel, I’m looking forward to hearing Rush Limbaugh expounding upon conservative values on NPR, and as for his own program?

Any liberal stupid enough to demand equal time with El Rushbo will not only have their ass handed to them, they might end up becoming an apostate to the liberal cause.

Of course the preferred result is to see this communist-inspired legislation from a communistic member of Congress strangled in it’s crib.

I would love to hear Rush on NPR but we all know that it will never happen. The alphabet networks, the major newspapers, the weekly rag-mags, NPR, PBS, etc. will never admit they’re totally left wing. None of mt lefty friends will admit that any of these ‘news’ outlets are leftist sympathizers. What’s a Conservative to do?

The flaw in your argument is that NPR considers it self "mainstream and well balanced" already.

It is only the right wing fascist etc etc ...conservative voices that need to be silenced.

The Fairness Doctrine will NOT apply to leftist anything. The very nature of such regulation is to accept left-wing broadcasting as non-political. For MSM, only commentary that trashes the Republican party will be regulated as being political on the left side. Anything by any person who is judged to be conservative will be ruled “political.” Rush Limbaugh won’t be allowed on to talk about cars.

You forget.

Such laws NEVER apply to the Left.

They ignore them with impunity.

Who is going to enforce this on them?

Will the Donkey Congress threaten to pull the plug on NPR/PBS?
Never!

Will any federal regulatory agency, all of which are solidly under labor union control, ever challenge the relicensing of a Leftist Media outlet?
Not on your life!

Only conservatives will be silenced by this law.

It will give the Commies, Islamo-fascists, and Totalitarian Leftists unchallenged, unmitigated, and relentless access to media streams.

Prepare to be brainwashed.

See post #60 for support of your statement....

This is something I have a question about. Maybe somebody here knows. Wouldn't/shouldn't the Fairness Doctrine cover newspapers, magazines, Network News and the other leftist TASS state sponsored propaganda.

Shouldn't the law require then that Rush gets to sit in on Network News broadcasts on ABC or Sean Hannity should be given equal time in the New York Times op-ed pages????? I'm all in favor of the truth coming out and letting people make up their own minds. Socialism will not win in an open debate.
