They are so rabid in their hatred for the President and 'his' war. It seems even those who live in NYC have forgotten 9-11.

They haven't forgotten, they've created alternate realities to justify their hatred. Rosie and her conspiracy theories are a prime example. I'm sure there are some Psychologists that will spend careers studying this phenomena.
