If the MSM can’t slant something enough to make GWB look bad, they won’t report it. They have no credibility with anyone but the whacked out left.

Hate to break this to you, but I think the 28% is high. I talk politics with people all the time, and every single one of them hates Bush now. A majority of the people I talk to voted for him in 2004, but there isn’t a single one who would support him now. If it isn’t the war (and some dislike him because he hasn’t tried hard enough on that), it’s immigration, gas prices, or corruption. It’s not like I am talking to the Move-On types, either. These are people who are all either R’s or Independents, who live in areas that voted 65$ % for Bush. My own precinct was over 70% for Bush, and it was real ugly going door-to-door last fall.

Excepting the period right after 9/11, we can disregard 50% of most any poll about the President. At least 50% of the people are ruled by emotion and the leftist hive mentality that hates the President.

Take into account the types of poll conducted by Newsweek, et al, and you could probably disregard 75% of it.

What in the world caused the media to be filled with leftists? I wonder if it’s the savior mentality that some see of the reporter field. The left leaning do seem to favor discussing problems instead of actually fixing them. They believe they can affect change not by actually getting their hands dirty, but by forcing others to do so by writing about the problems.

They (Newsweek) don’t give their methodology. Without their methodology the poll is worthless — except for duping morons.

This is another good reminder that polls should not be taken seriously.

Can you imagine working at Newsweak these days? I imagine it’s like being an accountant at the last slide rule factory; you know - - a guy who uses one of those newfangled calculators to keep the books. It’s gotta be like a morgue in that place. Personally, I’d be embarrassed to admit that I worked for a dying institution like Newsweak or Time. Whew...

Anyway, an operation like Newsweak isn’t about to use up a whole lot of limited resources to conduct a credible poll. No doubt they just threw a bunch of recent college grad new-hires on the phones for a couple of days and, voila! - - a poll.

99% of poll participants state that Newsweek doesn’t even work that well as toilet paper,, let alone as a news source.

I agree that Rasmussen typically is a far more reliable poll, which is why I'm especially distressed by their poll that shows, I believe, 59% favor Hitlery's plan to jack up taxes on the so-called wealthy (which will probably have to be defined as anyone who works for a living).

I don't want to think about what that says about the economic ignorance of far too many sheeple. Maybe Boortz is right when he talks about government schools.

Newsweek should take a poll of Iraqi women, to see what they think of Hillary.

Feminist Hillary is threatening to abandon the Iraqi women, who have been enjoying new privileges.

The remarkable progress that Iraqi women have made in less than two years can be measured by recalling their circumstances under Saddam Hussein.

"Iraqi women were once among the best educated and most professionally accomplished in the region," said Charlotte Ponticelli, State Department coordinator for international women's issues. "That is why it was shocking to hear from U.N. experts that, by the end of Saddam's rule, more than two-thirds of all Iraqi women were actually illiterate, and each year at least 400 of them were murdered in so-called 'honor killings' he had legalized."

What are we, a bunch of Stephen Colberts? We don’t believe the poll is accruate because we don’t agree with the results of the poll Isn’t that what “truthiness” is?

Come on. George Bush is an unpopular President. That doesn’t mean his policies are wrong, or that anything he’s doing is particularly awful, just that the majority of Americans don’t support him and haven’t since Katrina.

I don’t know what (if anything) can be done about this. The people have made up their minds about Iraq and President Bush.

Still, the ‘08 candidates are very competitive against the Dems, so all is not lost by any means.

The poll is based on...

People who are against our policies in Iraq.
People who think we didn’t use enough force in Iraq.
People who are upset with illegal aliens coming into this country.
