By the way - - for what it’s worth - - I never heard of this “John Amaechi”.

“People just dont care what homosexuals do with and to each other.”
That is a true statement of fact.
And because that is a truth, it really enrages some homosexuals. How can they feel “special” if they are ignored?

ESPN & the rest of the MSM tried desperatly to keep this non-story in the limelight. What they found out was there readers & listeners didn't give a crap. Some ex-NBA guy comes out of the closet yawn, what else is on sound of channel being changed.

This guy is too weird; he makes me think being Gay is about being self-absorbed and narcissistic. If anyone is judgmental today, it’s the Gays. And they and their Liberal allies want straight people to feel like they’re the queers. Who was it that said that the love that once dared not mention its name now is the love that won’t shut up?

Yes, but they're still Republicans.
Uh, not really. They're butt-pirates pretending to be Republicans.

“This guy’s got guts. Not for outing himself as gay, but for speaking to a group of Republicans.”
Pretty Funny! I love Free Republic ‘cept for those that have to strut their manhood spouting their homophobia. It’s pretty obvious that the 5% hate mail Amaechi got came right from here.
It does take guts for a professional sports player to come out gay (how many have? - just a handful ) AND talk to republicans.
And the homophobe hysteria over Rudy is just crazy. I’ll take Giulani in drag defending NYC any day to all those ‘macho’ tail-running democrats. Giulani is the only guy that regularly tells the media what idiots that they are, and I love that about him.
I think it’s great Amaechi got 95% positive responses. This country is growing up. Wish I could say the same for some folks here.

“Got any more left-wing talking points?”
Nope, just President Bush’s compassionate conservatism.
You don’t have to be left-wing to be human.
There was an article on FR about an albeit left-wing group in Vienna petitioning for human rights status for a chimpanzee. Based on comments I read here, the same old gay-bashing freepers crawl out of their caves whenever some homosexual issue is aired; and would more than likely give a chimp more human rights than a homosexual man or woman.
I rather doubt that you even read Amaechi’s article. The man does some good community work. Sad that not even one of his ex-teammates has given him a call since he has come out.
Says a lot about homophobia in sports doesn’t it?

Why do homosexuals think the world pays so much attention to them? It must be part of the syndrome...
It is a self-absorbed and self-destructive lifestyle. I wonder if he'll 'come out' and hold a press conference when he is diagnosed with gay bowel syndrome?
