“We didn’t want to. We didn’t mean to. We didn’t do anything wrong, which is to say, we did everything right.”

Sure you did, pal. I guess that’s how you’re going to rationalize your complicity in the butchering of two of your own children.

Just like how they always call the unborn fetuses instead of babies.

“The fact is, multiple pregnancies are high risk, and they can go bad very suddenly. I wasn’t going to allow that, though the fires of hell might beckon.”

You can’t make this stuff up, folks.

The leftmedia is nothing if not instructive. Parents, this is exhibit “A” of why you don’t want your children instructed in the socialists “values,” such as they are.

Hm...A 12 year old is mature enough to “choose” a competent abortionist, but her parents are too stupid to choose a school.

Splendidly put.

stopping the heart of one male fetus, then the other

Why did they kill only the boys?

This article is about the equivalent of Dr. Mengele describing with pride and glee the “medical experiments” he carried out on his Jewish captives. Absolutely sickening.

“...if we’re lucky enough to keep them...”

sounds like he is talking about pets, not people. I think they both feel VERY guilty, and he is trying to deal with it by writing this piece. Pray that they both (along with the doctor) repent.

We didn’t want to. We didn’t mean to.

I guess we're supposed to believe his wife was abducted by aliens, who implanted five embryoes without her consent?

Assuming this isn't a fiction story, as someone up-thread suggested (with some justification) then these people, with full knowledge and informed consent, set up a situation in which it was very likely that they would make a decision to kill one or more of their babies.

The phrase "depraved indifference" comes to mind.

Some wanted to know how we decided to keep the girls. Partly, it was a matter of how the fetuses were arranged. Partly, it had to do with other factors. Some studies show offspring of older fathers (I'm 47) run a higher risk of autism, and males are four times as likely to be autistic. Still, I had reservations about bringing girls into the world now, when forces seemed to be aligning to disenfranchise them (nine of 10 GOP presidential candidates favor reversing Roe vs. Wade). I hate to think my girls will have to fight the battles their mothers and grandmothers fought.

I don’t know which is more rare; having four babies or an abortion doctor getting murdered by an pro-life fanatic. Neither has anything to tell us about every day, retail abortion.

“Just like how they always call the unborn fetuses instead of babies.”

Or zygotes. Or a mass of cells.

Those who control the language often control the debate. Hence, conservatives should seek to make proper use of our language:

It’s not the media, its the leftmedia.
It’s not abortion, it’s infanticide.
It’s not liberal, it’s socialist.
It’s not a public school, it’s a government school.

And so on...

Rather than killing unborn humans, she could try adoption.

Contrast this story with this one:

the personal is political, the political is personal. What a wretched existence. I hope they luck into a really good nanny to raise these children.

Isn’t that sick? “Maybe I should kill my daughters before birth, because I can’t imagine them going through life without the opportunity for a partial-birth abortion.”
