The agents should have shot him in the big head instead of just shooting his balls off.

ON second thought...the moron whining about being shot could have been smuggling a nuke across the border.

IF he honestly didn’t know what was in the van.

They should have finished him off.

One of the best whining "victim" stories I've ever read. I especially enjoyed the urological details and the part about how his wife has had to go to work because he's no longer transporting drugs into the U.S. At least he hasn't set up house yet in El Paso, but I can see that coming. Oh, and, the reporter seems to be a moron.

Another interesting story there too. An art exhibit showcases life on the border. The ‘artwork’ is interesting. One painting shows a man who looks suspiciously like Jesus in handcuffs.

I do feel somewhat sad.

How hard is it to get our Border Patrol agents trained up so that they can do the job right, the first time, with fewer bullets.

I lived in El Paso all the way through high school and it was a decent town. I really missed it when I was away at college. When I moved back to work there it was a different place. Spanish is the predominant language on all sides of town. And the schools... God help the schools. All but 3 or 4 of the 30-40 high schools in the city are on academic probation by the state education agency.

My family moved to El Paso in 1952. When I went to the movies at the Plaza Theater, I passed many downtown stores that discretely displayed signs reading “se habla espanol”. I moved away in ‘67 and came back in 71. Left for the last time in ‘92.

Oh? So, drugs aren’t illegal in Mexico? I wasn’t aware of that...

I see my post #5 was removed. Did I break a rule by posting an excerpt from the article? If so, I didn’t realize. My apologies.
