We lift up to You our President and brother in Christ, George W. Bush, asking that You would send Your Holy Spirit to him in power and might and that he might be renewed and strengthened through Your power to do Your will and accomplish those tasks with which You have entrusted him. We pray that he would spend time each day with You in prayer and in study of Your word, and that he might practice Your presence in his life and be constantly aware of Your leading and direction as he makes decisions of great import. Lord, we ask that You might protect and bless both him and Laura as they serve You first, and then this nation.
We also continue to lift up our troops, especially those in harms way, but as we have seen in recent news the danger all of our troops face, we ask for Your protection over those who are here at home as well. We especially pray for those in Iraq and Afghanistan, that You would blanket them with Your protection and place a hedge around each one of them as they serve and protect this nation. Lord, we pray that You would be a comfort to them as they are far away from home, and that You would bless their families who anxiously await their return. We pray for those who have recently come home to situations that are very different from those they left, and we ask that You would strengthen relationships of spouses, parents and children as they readjust. We pray for those who have been wounded, that You would lay Your healing hand on each one of them and restore them to health, physically, emotionally and spiritually. We pray as well for the families of those who have lost loved ones in this just and noble cause and ask that You would place Your arms of love around them as they go through times of deep pain and grieving. We pray for General Petraeus, that You would give him wisdom and courage to fight and to win this battle against evil, and that You would help the Iraqi people to stand up in their own defense. But most of all, Lord, we pray that those who name the Name of Christ might be given freedom, and would be bold to proclaim Your Name throughout their country.
And finally, dear Lord, we pray for this nation, continuing to ask that You would raise up a leader who would honor life and would stand strong for morality and truth, as well as protecting our Constitution and our laws. Lord, we pray as well for the next Supreme Court nominee, that he or she would be one who honors the Constitution and who will support the sanctity of life. We pray for each elected official that they might find the courage to do the right thing regardless of polls or perceptions, and that they might value honor more than the results of their next election. Lord, we place this great nation in Your hands, and as Your remnant who continue to pray, we ask for a revival such as we have not seen in America. We pray that we do not cherish sin in our heart, but ask Your forgiveness for how far short we have fallen of Your holiness, and ask all these things, believing, in the Name of Jesus, our Strength and our Redeemer, Amen!
Good afternoon. How are you? Still praying.
Please join us in prayer for our President, our troops, and our nation!
(I'm fine, thanks. :)
Lord, please Bless President Bush and his administration. Also, guide and encourage him to do your will in all things.
oWf, that is a sweet picture of our President and the Queen!
God Bless the Queen.
(I think the picture potrays the very warm relationship between our President and the Queen).
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalms 1:1-2
Heavenly Father, we pray for President and Mrs. Bush today. We pray that You will be with him and guide every word, every thought, every step, and deed from him. We ask continued blessings for their families and administration.
We pray for our nation, Dear Father. We ask blessings for our military men and women and their families. We pray for their safety and that they will return home soon.
We ask all these in Your Sons Precious Name, Amen.
Praying with you as always. God bless!
Amen, Texagirl! Thank you so much for your faithful prayer.
Amen and AMEN, Spirit! Thank you.
God bless you too, Fudd Fan, and thank you for faithfully praying!
For the tired and the weary
Lost and confused
Hopeless and needy
With nothing to lose
For those who are falling
Or have already fallen away
Our hearts are exploding
With compassion and love
For a world that is crying
To be lifted up
We pray
Humbly we seek Your face
Broken yet unafraid
We leave it all in Your hands
We trust that You'll heal our lands
And know that You'll hear us when
We pray
Peace and forgiveness
For the nations at war
Strength in their weakness
When they can fight no more
Mercy, redemption, healing
And for You to be Lord of all
Our hearts are exploding
With compassion and love
For a world that is crying
To be lifted up
Father in Heaven
The Giver of life
Your Kingdom forever be glorified
We pray you will unite us
And heal our divide
We bow down before You
Oh Lord hear our cry (as)
We pray
Humbly we seek Your face
Broken yet unafraid
We leave it all in Your hands
We trust that You'll heal our lands
And know that You'll hear us when
We pray

OhioWfan - I think “...and principalities...”
we revere these two heads of state and we appreciate their commitment and sacrifice, but we know that they are only mortal. This man and woman are subject to the Lord, and He rules. What a beatiful photo to accompany this prayer.
Dear Lord, thank you for the people you have given us to lead and protoect us. Guide them, lead them and allow them to serve for Your glory.
I just love the featured photo tonight — It beautifully showcases the President’s innate ability to connect with everyone he meets, from the butler to the Queen.
Prayers up for our godly President and may his trip to Kansas tomorrow be a safe and soothing experience for all concerned!
BTTT!!!
Amen, Luvya! We leave it all in Your hands, dear Lord!
Amen, rightgirl. Amen!
And thank you for the reminder to pray for our President's trip to Kansas tomorrow.
May God bless and comfort those dear people, and may He use President Bush to give them special comfort at this time.
