I know soldiers who have been out eight months, back three months, out a year, back six months, etc. As soon as they get home they're paranoid about when they'll get shipped off again. It's played hell on their families, and this policy will stop that.

Nancy Pelosi press releases are the best reads ever! Every one of them is inane. President Bush has refused to pay for the war responsibly? Who passes the funding, Madam Speaker? If it has not been paid for responsibly, you and your colleagues are to blame. Is it responsible to fund the war by adding billions of dollars of pork to the funding bill?

Her other release today was on student loan reform where she accidentally calls college officials corrupt. Bet that goes over well with the Berkeley crowd.

Pelosi's description of the stupid Dem no-funding bill reminds me of the very old joke..

I Googled Pelosi’s spokeswoman Nadeam Elshami and found some interesting facts: She once worked for Democratic Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (where she was a sharp critic of the war on drugs), then for Democratic Senator Dick Durbin, and now Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Based on the articles I read there, she makes Dennis Kucinich look like Barry Goldwater. I take it from her name that she is of Arabic descent, which is interesting, being a top aide and confidant of “the most powerful woman in the world.” Wonder who’s idea it was to parlay with Assad and possibly the Iranians? Hmmmmmm
