DENVER - A box cutter found by a passenger onboard a United Airlines plane delayed a Denver to Dallas flight for nearly two hours Tuesday.
Flight 490 had left the gate and was taxiing toward a runway when the passenger found the cutting instrument and notified a flight attendant, said airline spokeswoman Megan McCarthy.
The flight attendant notified authorities and Transportation Security Administration officials met the plane on the tarmac. McCarthy said all the passengers were taken off the plane and re-screened while officials checked the plane for additional weapons. None were found and the plane took off at 2:25 p.m., nearly two hours after its scheduled 12:30 p.m. takeoff...
TSA officials did not return a message left after business hours by The Associated Press. Spokesman Darrin Kayser told Denver station KUSA-TV that situations similar to these sometimes happen.
"That's why we have armed pilots and federal air marshals so that if prohibited items do get on board, there are other layers of security," Kayser told the station.

Double hmmmmmmm.
I wonder where the cutter was found.
No mention of there were any “middle-Eastern looking” passengers.
Well that's refreshing. It is apparent there weren't any fed marshals on the 'flying imans' flight. Wonder what they would have done.
Do we? Have they finally gotten the thumb out and made it so?
DLR, ping for the question. I wasn't sure if that was said by a TSA or an airline spokesman.
Someone on the cleaning crew probably left it. ROP adherents seem to gravitate towards transportation and ancillary businesses..

Nothing to see here. Please move along. Absolutely nothing to see here. Move along now!
I remember some time back that a discussion occurred about the airline food industry as a ‘hole’ in security. Maybe one of the airline food deliverers taped a box cutter to the underside of a seat and it came undone.??? Just thinking....
I'm waiting for the announcement that, in order to make more efficient use of Air Marshalls, they will be assigned only to flights with Middle Eastern or Middle Eastern looking passangers. In consideration of this change in deployment, the name of Air Marshall will be changed to "Muslim Watcher".
I think I read an article that stated that the box cutter was found in the pocket of the seat in front of the passenger, but I’ll have to do some digging to find that article.
Found it!

Passenger finds box cutters on plane at DIA
KUSA - A United Airlines flight from Denver to Dallas was delayed two hours Tuesday after a passenger found box cutters in the seatback pocket in front of her.
That is according to Transportation Security Administration spokesman Darin Kayser.
United Flight 490 was taxiing on the runway at Denver International Airport at 12:30 p.m. when the box cutters were found.

Hmmm. Notice that article says “boxcutterS” - plural! Probably just a typo...
Simple, throw all muslims to the tarmac and take off = 30 minute delay.
That boxcutter needs to be returned immediately to the completely innocent Flying Imam who no doubt dropped it by accident.
It’s coming. There is going to be something like, or worse than, 9/11 again. We have not done all we needed to do to prevent it. Shame on us, and special shame on the TRAITORS, COMMUNISTS, APPEASERS, SICK LIBERALS, SHILLS, BOOTLICKERS, CYNICAL SNAKES, AND OTHER VERMIN .... who have undermined and compromised us all along. There is a special place in hell for them to rot.
Interesting...thanks!
They would probably be exempt from the re-screening anyway, so we won't risk offending them.
I hope they are finger printing it.
