Probably on the floor where they cut open a box on new blankets or pillows.
These box cutters are found on lots of flights after passengers have left the plane. There are so many that it seems like they have been planted just to raise suspicion.
They don't screen for them or profile them. No reason for the story to mention them. The perp is probably some wheelchair-bound elderly lady planning to hold the passengers hostage in exchange for her confiscated brooch. < /s>
Good find. It says boxcutters and that they were found in the seat pocket by a passenger.
Some of the airport employees I have seen do not give me a feeling of great confidence, and I wouldn’t be surprised if these things are being placed on the plane by cleaning crews.
While a real threat, a box cutter alone isn’t going to make for a successful terrorist attack — passengers won’t allow that again.
So what new tactics do the terrorists have in development? Box cutters *and* a gun? Box cutters and TWENTY highjackers? Box cutters and exploding pacifiers?
People spooked by a one-inch razor blade. Amazing.
Now let's see a show of hands of everyone who thinks the cleaning crew always checks these.

Not sure any terrorist would want to take on a flight of angry Americans with a one inch blade anymore. Even the pilots might be armed. I mean, that’s unfair! /s
If they’re thinking about aircraft, they may have to move on to something new these days, such as cargo flights.
In any case, its very hard for these guys to do much planning anymore. AQ has been cornered in most parts of the world. Their communications are monitored, and their funding is erratic. Attacking with a Republican as president would be counter productive or at least unpredictable in anycase. Now, a Democrat...
