Al Sharpton first attacked Obama for Hillary. Sharpton is her snarling pit bull.

I'm convinced that she directed Sharpton, and the others behind the scenes, to push push push so that Imus would be taken down.

Imus ridiculed and hated Hillary. Getting rid of Imus helps her immensely. In any run between Hillary and a Republican, Imus would support the Republican presidential candidate and ruin her chances

I am so sick of that stinking, steaming pile of racism "Al Sharpton".

From the day he encouraged Tawanna Brawly in her racist persecution of innocent police he's been a racist scumbag in my book.

Time to make the label stick.

This inquiring mind wants Sharpton to explain African history on slavery when his ancestors sold their own people for booze and trinkets.

And that was when they were being kind. Prior to when the white man came with the trade goods, they were simply killing them.

Not politically correct to say that, but true. You can look it up.

Many Mormons and Christians don't understand or mix up the Doctrines of the curse of Cain, the curse of the blood lineage of Ham and teh curse of teh Cannanites. This site is the best explanation of the matter along with a history of Mormons and Blacks. It is set up sequentially with 58 FAQ's about the topic.

The Mormon Faith & Black Folks

Put simply the curse limiting the priesthood was not based on skin color but on the Blood lineage of Ham whose descendants founded Egypt whose Blood was then mixed with Black Africans.

Elijah Abel was a pioneer and friend of Joseph Smith who was ordained as an Apostle Seventy. The first Black Police Detective in teh Nation was Mormon from Salt Lake City, Thurl Bailey (NBA), Gladys Knight, are all Mormons. One of the Founders of the Black Panthers renounced his militant ways and converted to Mormonism.

As long as we’re “clarifying”, perhaps Reverand Al could clarify a few things like:

Helping incite anti-Jewish riots in Crown Heights, New York in 1991 in which a Jewish student was murdered.

Being convicted of libel for his role in the Tawana Brawley hoax.

Inciting anti-Semites against Freddy’s Mart which was burned by one of Sharpton’s followers, killing seven people

How touching! /sarc In any case, how does this justify this cockamamie policy? LOL....Sharpton is not the only person that is making a fool of himself.

>>>how does this justify this cockamamie policy?

Are you Christian? Do you read the Bible? (I can see by your previous posts that you are rabidly anti-Muslim.) The priesthood of God was limited to specific peoples. In the OT it was only allowed to the Tribe of Levi. If you were the Tribe of Judah or Joseph, tough luck, no priesthood for you. In the NT The Priesthood was liited to the House of Israel. (The non-covenant people like the Muslims weren't allowed it either, that oughta make someone with your posting history happy). It wasn't until after the Day of Pentecost that it went to others. In the Bible various groups were cursed that their descendants would not have the priesthood. The Moabites are one such group. The descendents of Ham were another. Ham tried to take the preisthood unto himself when he took Noah's priesthood garment. For it God cursed his seed that they would not have the priesthood. They didn't until the Last Days. The first shall be last and the last shall be first.

If you are Christian why don't you tell us what denomination you belong to? It will be easy to find some instances where your denomination has practiced something which could be construed as racist.

While he’s explaining that he should also explain the democrat party role in slavery and and the KKK that lasted right up to 40 years ago and represents them today in the U.S. Senate.

I wonder why Sharpton doesn’t ask Harry Reid the same question?...Reid is a Mormon convert.

Excellent point.

Sharpton is an idiot. On that we can all agree. Mitt’s problem as I see it, was that he fell into the all too stereotypical Mormon persecution trap. Even my dear Mormon friends often exhibit this trait. Maybe it’s from years of actual persecution, or maybe it’s from years of trying to justify their “odd” beliefs to non believers. But too many of them are always on the defensive, and feel themselves as victims.
The GOP will not accept anyone who feels themself a victim. The GOP wants a strong leader who can brush off this kind of critizism. Love or hate GW, we never hear him whining.
Shaprton, as the rat he is, set the trap. And unfortunately, Mitt took the cheese. He does NOT want to go down into any kind of doctrinal rabbit hole with anyone. Even the “Rev” Sharpton.
Today it’ll be explaining the Mormon “blacks” doctrine. Tomorrow...it’ll be explaining Kolob. Ignore it Mitt. Keep on the issues. You still haven’t convinced us with them.

The Reverend Rob Schenck, an Evangelical minister and president of the National Clergy Council in Washington, DC, released this statement today in response to recent comments by the Reverend Al Sharpton about Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith:

“Religious prejudice is the worst form of bigotry. Rev. Sharpton’s comments suggest that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints do not really believe in God. While many other Christian groups may have differences with LDS doctrine, to question someone else’s sincerity of belief in God is the height of pharisaical arrogance.

“Rev. Sharpton should immediately apologize to Mr. Romney and the good people of the LDS Church and repent before God for such sinful hubris.”

Mr. Schenck has met privately with Governor Romney about his religious and moral beliefs and is presently engaged in ongoing dialogue with members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, also called “Mormons.”

Those who might remember Oral Roberts and his unusually cordial relations with God might remember Mormon President Kimball's experience which changed the status of black Mormons.

_____________________________________________

But according to Mormon historian Lester Bush, it appears Joseph Smith had allowed blacks to be priests; during Smith's time, the church had some black members and at least two black priests.

Another rationale, offered by some Mormons as far back as the 1840s, is that the souls which inhabit black bodies had been neutral or even sympathetic to Lucifer during the War of Heaven. The Mormon Church's first official statement on the matter, issued in 1949, alluded to this theory, stating that "the conduct of spirits in the premortal existence has some determining effect upon the conditions and circumstances under which these spirits take on mortality," and that therefore "there is no injustice whatsoever involved in this deprivation as to the holding of the priesthood by the Negroes."

Change came in the 1970s: Not only were Mormons' ambitions to be a worldwide church growing, but black Africans were imploring the church to send missionaries so that they could be baptized. All of this weighed on the church's new president, Spencer Kimball. On June 1, 1978, President Kimball, his two counselors and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, met at the Salt Lake City temple, engaged in group prayer, and had what was described as a Pentecostal experience.

President Kimball announced that God had heard their prayers and had revealed "that all male members of the church may be ordained to the priesthood without regard to race or color."

Sharpton can win this battle. The LDS church better tread lightly. It’s an embarassment. The LDS will have to apologize for something they claim is a later revelation. IOW they believe the rule was not wrong prior to being reversed
