NY: State senator introduces bill creating crime of unlawful sale of ammunition [BARF ALERT]

Saying it is important to limit the sale of ammunition to those who have legal firearms licenses, State Senator Eric Adams (D-Brooklyn) today announced he has introduced legislation that would create the crime of the unlawful sale of ammunition.

"It is only logical to require any purchaser of ammunition to produce a valid firearms license for a weapon that uses that type of ammunition," Senator Adams said.

The Brooklyn lawmaker, a 22-year veteran of the New York Police Department, said store owners would be charged with a Class C felony under his proposal.

"The use of illegal firearms continues to be a serious threat to the safety of the general public and law enforcement officers. My proposal would greatly restrict selling ammunition to those who own illegal firearms, and it is my hope that it could save lives," Senator Adams said.

The bill, which is sponsored in the Assembly by Assemblyman Ruben Diaz Jr. (D-Bronx), is in the Codes Committees in both houses awaiting approval.

"My experience in law enforcement has shown me that there are solutions to the dangers that our children and families face on a daily basis. I hope that the Codes Committee will allow this bill to come to the floor for a vote as soon as possible," Senator Adams said.

“”My experience in law enforcement has shown me that there are solutions to the dangers that our children and families face on a daily basis.”

Yes, there is a solution. ANYONE WHO USES A FIREARM IN THE COMMISSION OF A CRIME GETS 25 YEARS WITHOUT PAROLE. Very simple solution. Remove those who ABUSE the right to keep and bear arms and the problem will be solved. The idiots in government never seem to understand that the problem is NOT the gun, it is the one who wields it in the commission of a crime.

Oh, I must add:
Remove the gun crime statistics from the major cities and the US gun crime rate is almost nothing. So it seems it is a problem in the urban centers and not in the general population.

But how many times have I heard freepers say "the police are on our side" when speaking of speaking of the right to keep and bear arms?

That sounds like what Giuliani was saying. Armed robbery is serious. So is robbery, but armed robbery has intent to cause serious injury built in.

From the article: "My proposal would greatly restrict selling ammunition to those who own illegal firearms, and it is my hope that it could save lives," Senator Adams said.

Liberals have got to be some of the stupidest people on earth. This guy thinks that we can be successful at denying criminals ammunition even though we have not been successful at denying them guns.

The average bank robber probably needs less than a half-dozen cartridges in his entire career. Yet this knucklehead has decided that restricting the billions of rounds sold legitimately around the country each year will somehow have a beneficial effect on crime.

Just imagine the scenario. All these potential criminals carrying empty guns and unable to commit crimes.

We'll remember that when they come cite you for filling a pothole on your property. The crime, destroying a wetland. They already use gun laws to "get" people who are really guilty of something else.

One of the six NJ Jihadies was *only* charged with a "Gun Crime", that of providing guns to ineligible persons, that is the 3 illegal alien brothers. Even that might not stick, if he only loaned them the weapons. Then they'll only be able to get him on "Conspiracy to..". Although what I would charge him with is Treason, giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States, the penalty for which is death.

Is it loaded or not? Do you feel lucky?

Besides, they might have to resort to using machetes or something...
