More Details Emerge in UCLA-Planned Parenthood Abortion Rape Coverup

Los Angeles, CA (LifeNews.com) -- More details are emerging in a case where a counselor at the UCLA student health center advised a pregnant student to have an abortion. The woman in the case, a pro-life student posing as a pregnant teenager, says Planned Parenthood attempted to advise her to disguise statutory rape. In an undercover investigative story for a student-run newspaper, UCLA student Lila Rose posed as a pregnant 15 year-old and entered a Santa Monica Planned Parenthood.

She told officials there that a 23 year old man had impregnated her and her article in The Advocate newspaper says PP staff assured Rose that if she said she was 16 or older, they wouldn't have to report the rape.

The abortion facility staff encouraged her to "figure out a birth-date that works," to obtain the abortion and avoid getting the man in trouble with the police.

"California's mandatory reporting laws for statutory rape are supposed to protect pregnant minors," Rose told LifeNews.com in a statement Thursday.

"Underage girls are being targeted by predators, and Planned Parenthood is busy covering up the evidence. How many other rapes has this one clinic covered up?" she asked.

The story appears in the second issue of the newspaper and the first one had details about the UCLA case.

In that situation, the counselor told Rose, who again claimed to be pregnant, that the college has no resources available for students keeping their babies. The counselor also encouraged the student to get the state health system to pay for the abortion.

The advice came from Ann Brooks, nurse practitioner and counselor at the UCLA Health Center.

Rose said the counseling was entirely aimed at encouraging an abortion -- thinking that was the only option to help her stay in school. The student said Brooks also advised her to use Medi-Cal to fund her abortion with taxpayer funds.

"I have a place I can send you where they will get you signed up for Medi-Cal coverage and they just don't ask," the counselor reportedly said.

Brooks allegedly said Rose should have an abortion because of a lack of support for pregnancies on campus and the discomforts of pregnancy.

"Most of the students I talk to terminate their pregnancies," Brooks said, describing the unborn child as "a collection of cells."

She added that Rose could expect "physical difficulties" during pregnancy and the "embarrassment of your classmates" as a pregnant student living in the school dorms.

Brooks said "UCLA doesn't support people who are pregnant and make things easier for them necessarily."

In comments to LifeNews.com on Thursday, Rose said UCLA has use articles in the Daily Bruin, the official campus newspaper, "as a front to defend its image as an unbiased, plentiful pregnancy care resource."

"When women are given politically charged opinions from their counselor, and told that abortion at UCLA is the most feasible option for them, there aren't many 'choices' open for women. The administration is choosing for women, putting them in a situation where their only choice is to abort," said Rose.

Rose hopes that the second issue of The Advocate will open eyes to the need for better pregnancy counseling and pregnancy resource awareness and put pressure on the school to correct these deficiencies.

I just received this e-mail from Jay Sekulow at ACLJ:

What you think doesn’t count. The will of the people? Forget about it.

That’s how it seems, anyway.

A majority of Americans abhor the practice of partial-birth abortion - Congress passed a ban against it - the President signed it - the Supreme Court of the United States upheld it....

Yet within minutes of that ruling, pro-abortion members of Congress raced to introduce a so-called ‘’Freedom of Choice’’ Act which would totally reverse the decision of the people, the Congress, the President, and the Supreme Court.

Not only that, but they made this new bill retroactive - so
that the decision of the high court would evaporate!

The ACLJ needs your help immediately! Please give an online gift today to stop the multi-million-dollar abortion lobby and to protect the ban on partial-birth abortion.

It didn’t take long for the applause to start from the entire abortion lobby - the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, N.O.W., NARAL Pro-Choice America, and others.

Which means millions of dollars could flow into the campaign for this legislation.

For Senators Barbara Boxer, Hillary Clinton, Charles Schumer, and others to introduce a bill (H.R. 1964 and S.1173) enshrining abortion into law is nothing less than a brazen, political move - but it is also extremely dangerous.

This bill says the federal government cannot regulate abortion.

Bottom line: It will enshrine abortion into law and completely decimate our efforts to eliminate it from America!

Do you understand my urgency? I am calling on every member of the ACLJ to give generously right now for the cause of LIFE. We MUST fight the ACLU and the pro-abortion lobby on behalf of the unborn and STRIKE DOWN this blatant maneuver aimed at thwarting the pro-life movement.

Let’s be clear: This is not just a ‘’nuisance’’ bill - with the current majorities in Congress, it could pass.

That would mean a return to the torture-murder of countless babies via partial-birth abortion.

Our Government Affairs staff is already aggressively at work on this; I have set in motion three lawyers and a senior research team; we are working with members of both the House and the Senate - and I am guiding this entire effort personally.

We are not only trying to prevent passage, we are also preparing to litigate in case the bill does become law.

We will fight every step of the way. But we need your help.

Please stand firmly with me today to fight the multi-million-dollar abortion lobby. Your generous, online, tax-deductible contribution is urgently needed. For America’s future ... and for the fate of those yet born ... please do what you can today.

Thank you.

There are actually condom testing machines on the market. Condom manufacturers use them to do batch testing.

Abortion has everything to do with money and of course a whole range of things that are just evil but is there a history of any abortion providers who gave money to Rudi for his political career? I mean how much money can anybody expect from an adoption agency versus a large company of abortion providers. As a Catholic I don’t see Rudi being Catholic just because he says he is. I mean I can say I look like Carmen Electra but everyone knows I don’t just by looking at me because they can see the REAL me no matter what I say.

I will never understand how some people can turn such a blind eye to something so blatantly immoral and in some cases, illegal.

I wonder how many of those people secretly look down their noses at girls on wlefare, never realizing what a big chunk of pregnant teens were messing around with guys over 18.

As far as statutory rapes go, I'd imagine quite a few.

A person who thinks quitting a battle, after announcing you're quitting months in advance, is a way to win a war is telling me about my little grey cells failing? Physician, heal theyself.

Take potshots all you want, troll. Your days are numbered.

That was the tape that I heard. They had a recording of it on a pro-life website. I think it is so sad that our tax dollars have to fund a center that covers up rape and incest, and on top of it all, they kill babies.

"... Brooks said, describing the unborn child as "a collection of cells." This is solid evidence that the left and liberals defending the indefensible of wholesale killing for alive unborn children do not understand the biology, or they understand and seek to lie openly in order to promote the slaughter empowering the democrat party.

The collection of cells that is Ms Brooks IS ALSO A HUMAN ORGANISM, and the little one she would so casually have slaughtered would have been an alive ORGANISM. The godless, dead souls of the democrat party and their sycophants must never let the truth --THAT unborn babies and embryos ARE ALIVE HUMAN ORGANISMS-- get into the minds of the people who vote ... the sheeple must continue to be herded so the democrat party may continue to empower their political position via the blood of innocent fellow human beings.

Harsh? You bet ... when speaking of demon servants it is best to be harshly factual.

Funny, the MSM never mentions that for Planned Parenthood...
"IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, BABY!".

I don't have first-hand experience, but some acquaintances have
told me that if you don't palm over the money...Planned Parenthood
ain't gonna' terminate anybody's unwanted pregnancy.

Not sure I understand what you’re trying to say.

And it’s not the age of the guy alone that makes it rape. Age of consent in many states is as low as 16, so you’re talking about awfully young women.

And if it was legal & consensual, frankly, there should be some level of shame involved in irresponsible behavior. What does it say about a society that has no shame?

We are in agreement. When I talked about people looking down their noses at girls on welfare, I was talking about libs. Trust me, a very large percentage of liberals are far more harsh toward welfare recipients than any conservative (only in private, orf course)...yet they insist on creating the moral conditions that get many young women started on state aid when some 20 year old uses them for easy sex.

For the “counselor” to tell her that she had a baby sixteen years ago, and if she had it to do over again, she would have had an abortion. I hope her son (I think it was a son) never hears about this, but with the publicity in this case, he probably will. What an incredibly evil woman.
