Incompetence At The Top
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 16 May 2007 | Editorial

IN ANY normal work situation, World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz might have been shown the door a long time ago.

Imagine if a review panel had come to the following conclusions about your job performance:

-- You had displayed "questionable judgment and a preoccupation with self-interest over institutional best interest."

-- You saw yourself "as the outsider to whom the established rules and standards did not apply."

-- Your actions "had had a dramatic negative impact on the reputation and credibility" of your employer.

-- You had displayed "a lack of understanding and disregard for the interests of the institution."

-- You had "resorted to public attacks ... which denigrate the very institution" you were selected to lead.

That list of criticisms could be applied to virtually every member of the House and Senate.

Wolfie’s only mistake was to expose this nest of vipers to the sun. The entire episode is a classic op aimed at discrediting him in revenge for his tough words.

That the San Fran loonies even dare criticize him show how far left they are, and they are simply water carriers for the banal lefties at the WB.

I would love to see the WB (and the UN) extend this type of scrutiny to any other player at these institutions. It will never happen, since these globalist institutions practice thievery on a mass scale. They hire relatives and mistresses just because they can.

Wolfie did every thing he was asked to do regarding his girlfriend, who was appointed to the position long before he went to work there.

It is nothing but grotesque to suggest that this entire episode is anything but a political hit.

Let’s see, should I meet with Yasser Arafat about a Middle East Peace plan, or should I use this cigar on an intern?

Wolf made some mistakes.

If your frame of reference is the looney-tunes, leftist, Bush bashing, Nancy Pelosi loving San Francisco Chronicle ... I can see why you're left with that impression. A much better frame of reference would be found in the editorial pages of the WSJ.

As pointed out by several Freepers in your earlier post of May 10 ... you obviously have an agenda KF and further, you're in completely over your head.

It is a wonder that any work gets done at all on Capital Hill, with all the philandering going on.

Then again, that does mean fewer laws passed ...

No incompetence throughout.

Close down the World Bank. The world would be a better place.

The Mayor of San Francisco would have been shown the door a lot quicker. Thank you, Chronicle, for complaining about a mote in someone else’s eye.

Well, I can imagine that such a man would be reelected President in 1996.

Actually, as has been pointed out on March 23 on FR, you are the one with the agenda.

This doesn’t apply to government employees such as the VA employees who voted themselves bonuses even though their performance was lacking. I’m sure there are other government examples.
