"Cuban missive crisis: Moore, ex-Sen. at war"
NY DAILY NEWS ^ | Wednesday, May 16th 2007, 4:00 AM | GEORGE RUSH AND JOANNA RUSH MOLLOY

"Filmmaker Michael Moore is calling out White House hopeful Fred Thompson for refusing to debate him...Thompson's stogie stunt surprised Moore.

"Why would a potential presidential candidate provide photographic evidence of himself committing a felony?" the director told us last night before he showed his film to the 9/11 workers he'd brought to Cuba.

"Someone should tell him that 'Law & Order' isn't just a TV show, it's real life. I hope the federal government will take the proper and necessary actions against him for violating the law."

LOL! MM is grasping at straws--he knows he's got nothin' on Fred and he's scrambling to cover his big ol' rear end. :-) Fred's video response said more to the American people in just a few sentences than this big blowhard can muster up in ANY 'mockumentary' he makes.

Can't wait to see the federal government take the proper and necessary actions against *MM* for violating the law and sucking up to Castro!! I'm popping the popcorn now!

Like I said in the other thread, how does our corpulent friend know it’s a Cuban? Most Montecristos sold in the US are Dominican.

Not that he’s listening.

Moore is smart enough to know who the real threat to the Democrats is and it’s not Ghouliani and the present frontrunners.

"Why would a potential presidential candidate provide photographic evidence of himself committing a felony?"

I never knew MM was such an expert on cigars that he can tell a Cuban from a video of someone smoking one.

I hope the federal government will take the proper and necessary actions against him for violating the law."

Ya just made the federal case against you even stronger, Fatboy. You just acknowledged that trading with Cuba is a federal crime. That in turn is tacit agreement that your trip there without State Dept permission was a crime as well.

“Why would a potential presidential candidate provide photographic evidence of himself committing a felony?”

In Mikey Moore world, smoking a cigar is a feloy. And Mikey, I have a feeling you’ll be eating crow - those cigars came from the Dominican Republic - the dumbass reporter saw the words “Montecristo cigars” and ASSUMED they were from Cuba - like most dumbass reporters he didn’t do the research.

Fred doesn’t break the law, Mikey - unlike certain fat irrelevant filmakers we know.

How lame. Jabba really was surprised that Fred publicly took him to the woodshed.

I suspect Burgerboy has more surprises in store.

Yep, this tactic didn’t work - he’s been made to look like a fool. Next, we’ll hear how the health care industry is conspiring to stop his mockumentary.

That whole thing with the “hiding the film in a safe house” is an absolute joke. I think Lumpy’s been wearing his dirty ball caps on too tight.

FDT should not be buying or smoking Cuban cigars. I do not give a rat’s fanny what the warhog from hell, Mike Moore, has to say. But this does not excuse FDT. He probable smokes fake ones. There are tons of them in the US. The red diaper doper babies smoke them because they think it is kewl.

Get the Davidoffs, absolutely the best and Winnie (Churchill) favorite (a real leader).

Cudos to Fred. He called Mickey out and Mickey didn't know how to handle it. You KNOW that the cigar wasn't Cuban (Thompson would be that stupid) and he coerced Moore into tactily admitting the charges against him have merit.

What a perfect trap.

It really doesn't matter whether they're Cuban or Domnican. I'm pretty sure that the Trading with the Enemy Act prohibits purchasing good made in Cuba, not consuming those goods. In other words, it's illegal for Americans to buy Cubans (anywhere, not just Cuba), but not to posess them. In other words, you can receive a Cuban cigar as a gift, but can't pay for it.

Mikey is too dumb to read the law and assumes that Maericans are that dumb too. Also, I watched the video, the cigar in Fred's mouth had the band removed so it was completely unrecognizable. Fred would be a fool to leave the band on a Cuban after what Mikey said.

Saw it where?

‘Cause it sure wasn’t in the video.

The original reference to the cigars was in a lengthy article on Fred published a month or more ago.

I guess MM is really keeping up on Fred’s activities. That’s pathetic. Heeheehee

FREDOPHOBIA continues....

Why was Fred smoking a cigar that resembled a Montecristo while responing to MM? Why to piss Mm off of course! By the reaction MM gave, I’d say it worked.

The more I think about it, the more Fred’s reply seems a legal master stroke. Lets say Fred does nothing, and MM files a complaint to the feds about the cigar. Fred goes to the feds, shows the cigars are perfectly legal, then the fed files charges against MM for (fill in the charge here, I’m not a lawyer) along with the trouble he’s already in for his filming in Cuba. Can’t wait to see this one go down.

Buahhahahahaha!!!!!
