A legislature overstepped its authority by not taking away enough rights?

Polluting the air other people breathe is not a right.

Don’t go where smokers are. Solved. Unless you’re the type who likes to use government to tell people what they can and can’t do on their own property.

“Government dictating to PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS what they can and cannot do on their own property...is not right.”

I fixed this for you. I’m CERTAIN this is what you meant to say. ;)

Hint: Don’t like smoke in a PRIVATE CLUB? Don’t go there. Don’t like it in a restaurant or tavern? Don’t go there.)

You have no right to enter a private club unless you are a member or guest of a member.

If a private club wants to allow smoking that is the private clubs business and none of the governments. People who make comments like yours can only be liberals, or worse, communist, willing to subvert others freedoms in order to retain your smug sense of superiority because you "don't smoke". I don't smoke either but I recognize the rights of others to smoke on private property as long as the property owner allows it, NOT the government's business to regulate a legal activity on private property.

If people don't want to frequent those establisments then they are free not to go there.

BTW, you liberals give yourselves away when you make these idiotic statements , because you can't see that the real right being deprived here is not the right to smoke but the right of private propery owners to decide what legal activity can take place in their establishments.

“Polluting the air other people breathe is not a right.”

As you demonstrate, neither is intelligence. It’s about the rights of business-owners, nanny-stater.

I presume you don’t drive, use electricity or exhale since you have no right to do such things since they pollute the air people breathe.

“Polluting the air other people breathe is not a right.”

Really? Then in that case we better ban using gas powered lawn mowers, driving cars, bbq grilling, smokehouses, candles, insense, manufacturing, and methane expulsion.

If a PRIVATE club, and it’s members decide a legal activity is something they wish to do in the club, is it your right to determine they shouldn’t because you may want to work there?

Bars and clubs are privately owned. Owning property and deciding for yourself what consensual activities are permitted therein IS a right. If you don’t like it, go elsewhere. There were plenty of non-smoking establishments popping up before the health-nazis instituted their fascist smoking bans.

It's a private club-don't go there if it bothers you so much.

I shouldn't have to be exposed to your aftershave/shampoo/deodorant either.

Sell your car and turn off the power to your house.

The only way for you to not pollute the air is for you to die and be buried in a casket that won't let your rotting body release its fetid vapors to the atmosphere.

Feel free to do so.

Exhaling alone pollutes the air. People with colds pollute the air. How far are we going to take this?

Oh puhleeze. If you don't want to breath 'second hand smoke', then don't go to establishments that allow smoking. There are plenty that are smoke free BY CHOICE.
