Cool idea, but using tires in VA is suicide.

Mosquitos.

You cut drain holes on the lower side of them, so they don’t hold water.

That also allows then to slowly release the water into the soil, but not hold it for mosquito breeding.

The other advantage over permanent raised beds is that you can easily move them aside, and till stuff in, instead of having to hand dig.

Sounds good - might try it.

Or, more likely, might suggest it to my wife. I look at a plant, it dies. LOL.

(I ain’t allowed to touch the garden.)

Botticelli’s “Venus” and Manet’s “Olympia” have to be the two most beautiful paintings of women I’ve ever seen. Statuesque redheads and rubenesque women with dark hair and eye, mmmmmm!

Having stuck my nose outside to do a few chores, I have decided this is baker day.

Debate over the origin of European potatoes? Must be out of the loop, first I heard of it.

Canary Islands? Hey, maybe pommes de terre were the original “golden apples of the Hesperides.”
