I didn’t even click on that thread when it first showed up on the site because I was afraid of what might have been posted. I didn’t even know so many had been banned until maybe a week ago(I know,I’m clueless at times. :?/) When I found that out I thought I would try to go on the thread to see what had happened but there were so many posts I didn’t bother.

I see quite a few folks who have been here for a long time and been wonderful contributors have been banned or left on their own. It’s just such a shame.

I haven’t been here all that long, in the grand scheme of things, but I will miss them. It just leaves more posts to ignore. Sometimes doesn’t seem worth it.

While I’m not keen on Rudy, people are entitled to their opinion. The problem seems to be that people are taking things WAY too personally and making vicious attacks. Seems if you respond to those attacks, it gets you into trouble. Certainly having a chilling effect on me and many others.

Good to hear. I feel the same way. I would go crazy dealing w/lib academics if I didn't have my FRiends to come home to.

And aside from the politics, I have learned so much from the people on FR about so many things, I don't know what I would do w/o this site.

Hi Jonny thanks for the thread - sorry am late but just catching up on the posts on yesterday’s thread.

May I echo Gretchen’s post as well I am not going anywhere but just avoiding controversial threads. I have even stopped going to British based threads as some of them got irrational with certain freepers making comments about my country which shows they do not know the subject they profess to pontificate on. When called on it they just say I am the delusional one I know other British freepers who have left the forum due to this as well.

God Bless you for accepting me on this thread and honouring me in asking me to host this thread twice a week.

I very much doubt in the short term but I am praying that in the long term maybe after the primaries when hopefully things will calm down on this site they may feel able to return to some threads.
