Remember Mad Max Kennedy, the Minuteman and real, honest-to-God, pistol-packing crypto-patriot I interviewed for my on-the-border series? Well, who better to call and get a take on the historic immigration compromise reached yesterday? (You think Bob Novak has these kinds of sources?)
It was time to check in on Max anyway. I'd heard he'd taken flack from some Minutemen for standing up to Jim Gilchrist.
Max was in a somber mood when I reached him on his cell down in Campo, still living out of his rusty, mud-splattered Suburban. The night before he'd been listening to Fox News, which he actually can pick up out in the high-desert chaparral if he uses his multi-band Grundig. He knew a deal was imminent.
"So they signed it?" he asked in that Brooklyn accent I've come to love. "Well, that's the end of the world as we know it, brother."

Bump.
The fat lady hasn’t sung yet and there are a lot of Americans working to stuff a sock in her mouth before she does.
“..Also, he gets very little help, physically or financially, from city-based Minutemen, he says, a situation that increasingly troubles him when he hears how much money the organization (which is actually several competing organizations that claim the Minutemen name) takes in from donations...”

Hopefully if enough of the younger Senators and Reps fear for their jobs, they will listen. Many of the old ones don't care, they're willing to sell out their own country for a few pieces of silver (or whatever they got for doing it).
With the deal struck yesterday, with its emphasis on giving priority to immigrants with skills rather than their longevity in the U.S., Max sees the compromise as starting to hurt the professional class. "There's going to be guest-worker doctors, guest-worker architects, guest-worker news reporters. They think it's going to be just guys like me (and) truck drivers. But the (professionals) are screwed man. They just don't realize it."
Not right now; but, they will....in time....when it's too late.
It’s no wonder American birth rates have fallen for so many years. Parents knew their children would have their futures outsourced by these one-worlders.
Cultural pessimism. It’s a b*tch.
I’m bullish on America, once these anti-American globalists are off the national stage and picking lettuce where they belong.
Hopefully they'll be asking me if I want fries with that before long.
