Moore's underlying thesis in Sicko relates to the structure of American society. "Others see themselves as a collective that sinks or swims together," he told Variety.

You know? In all of the European ferry disasters that I have read about in resent years I have never read that all of the survivors decided that even though there were life boats and life jackets for most of them that they should all drown because not all of them would survive.

Year after year socialized medicine gets worse and worse.

Moore is a propagandist for profit while stumping for communism. What an opportunist.

Happy thought: Weinstein just blew $100 million on the dog film of the year, idiot/savant filmaker Quentin Tarentino’s “Grindhouse”. Which is a complte flop. They even cancelled the Euro release of it.

Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.

The health secretary, Patricia Hewitt, may be surprised by Moore's ringing - if strictly speaking, factually inaccurate - endorsement for the NHS. "The poorest Brit is healthier and lives longer than the wealthiest American," he said.

I suppose it could be true depending on whom the poorest Brit is and who the richest American is.

Of course Moore is just spouting his usual excrement.

Only the stupidest Move On dot Org follower would believe any of Moore’s lies.

After the dropping of the spectacular bomb called “Grind House”
the Whinesteins will resort to any stunt possible to try to shore up their financial mess.

Greetings balch3:

For the sake of preventing global warming, substitute each frame of a Mikey Moron.org film for one sheet of toilet paper in the Sheryl Crowe bathrooms.

"discredited"

Even Moore's first big movie "Roger and Me" has turned out to be based on a false premise. Moore, an ignorant Marxist of the worst sort, made the premise of that flick the understanding that the president of G.M. refused to meet with him. As it turned out the president of G.M. did meet with Moore. Moore conveniently left that out of the movie. I guess we can call that an inconvenient truth.

I find it ridiculous and a lie that the government is getting involved in this. The government has more important things to worry about then a fictional story about American medicine even though it is being put out as a documentary. Let the public decide to see or not see it. That is the American way!!!!!

I’m sure somebody will be along shortly to whine about free speech or some such.

Let’s hope so. Good God that is all we need is restrictions on First Amendment which we already have. I guess you are one of those that does not care about Second Amendment either. You are such a conservative..../sarc.

Single payer national healthcare means that we (those who contribute) pay for them (the parasites). In a country where the leading causes of disease and premature death are self inflicted why should I (I don’t smoke, take drugs, bunghole my neighbor or over-over-overeat) be placed in the same health-risk pool with Comrade Moore?

Presidential hopeful Senator Bob Thompson?

All of the leading social issues of the day, from healthcare to illegal immigration can be boiled to the same conflict: productive members of society versus the freeloaders. I have no problem with anyone who comes here, contributes and becomes part of the American Dream.

You and I have a different definition of a lot of money. Bowling for Columbine made 27 million in the US. Fahrenheit 911 grossed 221 million world wide and 119 million in the US alone. That, to me is a lot of money.

I 100 percent agree with you but you throw out treason all over the place on many people. Treason is not discussing the medical situation in the U.S. I mean come on. The treasonous movie that he did was most likely F-9/11 which really was a slam on America (I did not see it but from what people have told me sounds like it). Bashing the medical situation is not a slam on America.

The producers of this film would love to add "The movie the Bush administration tried to confiscate" (or words to that effect) to the trailer and print advertisements.

And they probably will, even if it is just based on unfounded internet rumors.
