Release A070518a
SIX SECRET CELL TERRORISTS DETAINED
BAGHDAD, Iraq Coalition Forces detained six suspected terrorists Friday morning during raids in northeast Baghdad.
The individuals targeted during the raids are suspected members of a secret cell terrorist network known for facilitating the transport of weapons and explosively formed penetrators, or EFPs, from Iran to Iraq, as well as bringing militants from Iraq to Iran for terrorist training.
Coalition Forces found improvised explosive device materials and detained six individuals, including two who tested positive for explosives residue. Another two of the six suspects are believed to be key leaders in the secret cell terrorist network.
Intelligence reports indicate one suspected secret cell key leader is responsible for the planning and coordinating of numerous murders, kidnappings, assassinations and attacks on Iraqi civilians and Coalition Forces as well as involvement in IED attacks on Coalition Forces. The other suspected leader is an explosives expert and weapons dealer.
One Iraqi civilian received minor injuries during the course of the operations, and he received medical attention on the scene from Coalition Forces.
Coalition Forces are targeting the terrorists, searching them out in the places they hide, said Lt. Col. Christopher Garver, MNF-I spokesperson. This mornings operation is one more step in removing the terrorist networks from Iraq.
Kick ass!

Iraq Report: Iranian EFP Cell Taken Down
******************************EXCERPT*****************************
Iraq has seen yet another relatively quiet day, with no major suicide bombings or large scale attacks.
******************************snip**********************************
The big news from Iraq today was an operation against a terror cell smuggling weapons from Iran and facilitating the movement of fighters between the countries.
****************************snip**********************************
In neighboring Diyala province, "gunmen in four vehicles laid an ambush in central Baqubah for government accountants [carrying] one billion Iraqi dinars [$860,000] as a monthly social security program fund for poor families." Also in that province, three American soldiers were killed in an unspecified location after their vehicle was struck by an IED.
We were after them...see link at post #3.
I know this might not go over well, but why don’t we ever hear about Iraqi’s getting busted smuggling weopons into Iran? Can’t we buy a few nutcases to give some of what we’ve been takin’ just to send a message?
*********************EXCERPT****************************
Diyala- A joint force of Iraqi-U.S. troops killed four armed men at a fake checkpoint in Diyala province, a police source said on Friday.
Why hasn't the training camp been located and destroyed?
*************************************EXCERPT********************************
Lots of news today on the effort to uproot al Qaeda from its last, large stronghold in Diyala Province, Iraq. The terrorists tried to attack a US position in Baquoba, the capitol city of Diyala and the so-called capitol of al Qaeda modern Caliphate:
About 50 suspected insurgents attacked a U.S. base in the center of a city north of the capital Friday, sparking a battle with U.S. soldiers and helicopters that killed at least six militants, the Iraqi army said.
**********************EXCERPT**********************
al Qaedas military impotence is becoming more and more apparent, and I am sure the locals are sick and tired of the claims of greatness as al Qaeda loses encounter after encounter with the US and Iraqi national forces. The SurrenderMedia could be reporting on the events in Iraq honestly and professionally - but professionalism died long ago in Western news organizations. When you staff up to create an echo chamber, you end up with biased products.
So it is left to the electronic pamphleteers and the few people able to obtain unfiltered news to get the whole story of events in Iraq. Steve Schippert has a good round up out today:
They might not have the proper maps.
Awesome!

Nite all....
Don’t kid yourself...
The AQ propoganda war is still going full blast in the Arab world, and Videos like this one, shown on Al-Jezeera,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVwE1idvcdA&mode=related&search=
full of Patriotic Music and Koranic phrases results in a steady stream of willing sacrifices to “the Cause” from all over the Middle East, and the world...
We lost the Propoganda War long ago, because we have a leftist Media, run by the Gay Mafia, unwilling to tell the world THE TRUTH about the Who, what’s and why’s in Iraq.
ANYTHING that might be helpful to Bush must be censored, or spun, and it’s been that way from DAY ONE.
stop ‘detaining’ them....kill them all
