I encourage you to read Hugh Hewitt’s book, “A Mormon In The Whitehouse: 10 Things Every American Should Know About Mitt Romney.”
I agree! Read Hugh Hewitt’s new book on Romney and you will be even more convinced!
Mitt is doing the hard work on the ground - he has a very extensive grassroots campaign going. I’ve never given money to anyone, not even GW who I worked Get Out The Vote for in 2004, but I have contributed small amounts to Mitt and had a debate party at my home last Tuesday.
Yet the Ammendment to ban affirmative action passed in the same year and:
Bush got 48% of the vote in Michigan in 2004.
I'd never "count on" Michigan but it, and Wisconsin need to be made priorities.
Unmarked,
Add me to the Mitt ping list, please.
If you’re really open to learning about Mitt Romney, read Hugh Hewitt’s book about him “A Mormon In The Whitehouse” and then make your decision.
I want to here and see the Congress’s rating, we here about Bush’s every single day. Are they still the Congress the people want? Have they come out of thier delusional stupor yet. After every speech a democrate finishes with “we are only doing what the American people want”. Who are these people they call Americans? They sure don’t speak for me! How about you? Vote the bigger picture in 2008 Immigration and islamic terrorism
You may find this article interesting from The Boston Globe yesterday. Dr. James Dobson made the remarks to Laura Ingraham on her radio show last Friday.
Thanks for the info. You made my night
“He is more socially conservative than Rudy and more fiscally conservative than Fred. The perfect package (unmarked?).”
And he is trailing Thompson. Fred is a comfortable fit without the baggage or the flip flops.
“The Dems would have to, because Romney is immune to all their usual charges (the Republican is stupid, a right wing ideologue, is mean, is poopy face, whatever). None of that works on Romney. Religion is all they got.”
Actually, evangelicals and traditionalist Christians would “not vote” in the 5 to 10 % range, making a Romney election nigh impossible.
Exactly why I don't like a Thompson presidency. I think it will be more of the same business as usual.
Romney offers us a refreshing change.
Bttt!
“Im not saying I agree with the above, but Romney gets through to the nomination, those same conservatives whod sit out a Rudy nominee might do the same.”
It’s an important question you raise. Being LDS myself, I’ve tried to keep my finger on the pulse of the anti-Mormon sentiment amongst the Republican base.
There are some out there who will refuse to vote for Romney simply because he’s LDS. My opinion, though, after watching things shake out for the last couple of months, is that such religious bigotry is pretty isolated. Time will tell, but I just don’t think that it’s going to be a determining factor.
Fred has changed his mind on a number of items, including immigration and abortion. Is that a “flip flop”?
“And he is trailing Thompson.”
If I remember the numbers correctly, he’s trailing Thompson in -one- state (SC).
Thompson may well suck the wind out of everyone’s sails if he joins the race; but it’s tough to stay in the lead when you’re not campaigning.
“Fred has changed his mind on a number of items, including immigration and abortion. Is that a flip flop?”
We will see who has flipped and flopped the most by primary season. There’s a lot of water to flow below the bridge.
Mitt has already 10,000 signed up for the Ames straw poll.
Bush had barely 11,000 in 2000. How is anyone including Fred going to catch that?
As soon as Mitt said he supports the AW ban reinstatement, decision made. No additional information necessary.
