It wasn't hard for cops at 41 Division to track down a burglary suspect yesterday -- he was standing in the police station lobby covered in blood and broken glass.
"Well, it is police week and maybe he saw the sign on the grass outside saying open house," Staff-Sgt. Gary Tutchener said.
"The problem is he came through the side door, which is locked and marked police personnel only."
He also -- allegedly -- came through the door at 4 a.m., outside of the typical open house hours, and kicked through plate glass to do so. Blood and shoe prints were on the door.
But as Tutchener pointed out, the station is open 24 hours a day and officers were immediately on scene to attend to the man, who suffered minor cuts getting through the door.
"He had been drinking," Tutchener said. "It's hard to say what his intentions were.
"He's not what you would call a cunning criminal."
Kevin Scott Harris 44, is charged with break and enter and mischief.

LOL - a dare made by someone at the bar, perhaps?
Or maybe he thought the police station was the bar. Either way I bet he’s got a few days to think things out.
Then he turned to the policeman and screamed, "Did you see him come up to ME!?"
Before long he was outside and surrounded by at least half a dozen of New York's finest and best-armed.
