An explosion was heard in eastern Beirut late on Sunday, a Reuters witness said.
"There was a loud explosion here in east Beirut ... I can see a plume of smoke rising and people are going towards the area to see what happened," Reuters correspondent Tom Perry said.
The blast came as Lebanese troops battled Islamist militants based in a Palestinian refugee camp in the north of the country on Sunday and 48 people were killed in Lebanon's bloodiest internal fighting since the 1975-90 civil war.

It is all part of the plan by the Syrian and Iranian terrorist regime to destabilize Lebanon, Iraq, and the whole Middle East.

Most interesting.
Back when Beirut was bombed a few months ago there was a link on a Google Earth thread showing the before and after. Anyone remember that?

I think so.
The region is on the brink again. This is not good at all.
My question is, where the hell did all these militants come out of all of a sudden?
We all know they’ve been there, but why now?

Fath AL Islam is a terrorist group supported, trained, and financed by the terrorist regime in Damascus. They have their headquarters in a Palestinian refugee camp in Northern Lebanon.
