Drexel University researchers are revising the book on the Pyramids of Egypt, the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. The standard hypothesis for their construction speculates that ancient Egyptians carved the blocks out of nearby deposits of natural limestone, using stone age tools, and then floated the stones on barges, and used primitive ramps and levers to wrestle the blocks into place. The fact is, no one knows even to this day how the Pyramids were built. Many of the limestone blocks fit so perfectly that not even a human hair ....

Next thing you know, they’ll be telling us that the concrete for the blocks was delivered by flying transit mixers. Hmmm, there is a certain similarity between transit mixers and flying saucers. (revolving while traveling)

Apparently, the Egyptian architects were swayed by the Egyptian scientists who advised against using quarried stones, which if removed from the mountains would doom all of Civilization (at the time) to earthquakes, and to the quarry dust in the atmosphere destroying ozone. The architects complained to the Egyptian politicians, who did not have the limitless funds needed to cover limestone credits.

The whole issue of stone versus cement dried up at some point, shortly after the Egyptian politicians stopped paying grant money to Egyptian scientists.

Yeah, but how did they put that face on Mars? Everyone knows there isn’t any water on Mars.

If the blocks were sawed, rather than chiseled, the surfaces could be level. All it takes is a long rope and abrasive.

here we go with this one again. nobody poured anything, the authors of the article obviously never bothered to read the two or three difinitive texts on the subject- the best one was written in 1929.

What might those texts be?

I think you're on something... um, make that on TO something... oh, either way or both, lol. Maybe the flashing lights are just the spaceships following union rules on safely backing up. Ya know, this could make the next million seller on the NYT reading list!

OK, then explain this....So far, no one from MIT has been able to figure it out and they have a team go every year and try.

It is very evident that the people from outer earth did it, or showed them how. Like they did the other five or so human areas that were selected to be the teachers and schools for the rest. Only the Sumerians seems to have passed some of their knowledge on.

The “not even a human hair can get between the stones” is an oft-repeated exaggeration: Yes, they are well cut, and they fit well together. EVERY stone that heavy fits exactly next to its neighbor in many spots, just not across the whole surface. But the people repeating this exaggeration have never seen the real stones, and want to denigrate today’s methods by exaggerating what the ancients did.

The cutting and grinding (surface shaping) is well-established and has been duplicated using “standard” Egyptian copper tools. These “wells” of chipped stone around and under the obelisks remain, and several have unfinished obelisks still in the holes. (Same at Easter Island, by the way.)

The pyramid stones are actually quite rough - as you can see from close up pictures of people climbing the things. from afar, yes they look smooth: but only the cap stones, polished by sliding the stones across each other with a sand grinding powder between, allow the close fit. Machu Pichu is similar: the final fit is by polishing the adjacent stones. PS. You can't "pour" stones. Think lava.

Anyone remember the "ancient astronauts" thing? Our science teacher showed that to us in sixth grade. I went home and excitedly told my dad about how "ancient astronauts" had visited the earth in the past.

He tried as politely as he could to talk me down. I couldn't understand why he wouldn't believe it.
