He gives a very good explanation of that when he introduced this legislation last year. There is no fed immigration control in that area at all and they are overrun.

A Small price to pay in the long run if this goes anywhere, gains traction and gets enacted.
This is definitely pork, but it works real well with the new immigration law just signed on 5/8/2007 by Brad Henry, the Governor of OK. It is entitled the "Oklahoma Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act of 2007". It is going to be very difficult to be an illegal alien, or to be a business that makes it a practice to hire illegal aliens, in the State of Oklahoma. I wish we would follow suit up here in Nebraska, but I guess I will wish in one hand and you-know-what in the other and see which one gets full first.
