Summary
About 150 state police officers in Mexico's northern Nuevo Leon state went on strike May 21, demanding higher salaries and more resources to fight organized crime, which has claimed the lives of six state police officers in the past four days. Given that drug cartels have increasingly targeted police, army and government personnel in response to a federal campaign to combat organized crime -- and are showing no signs of stopping -- the security situation in Mexico likely will continue deteriorating.

"Reports indicate the strike temporarily left a large portion of downtown Monterrey with little to no police presence. City police officers filled in for the state police, who have reached a deal with the government and are scheduled to return to work May 22."

If you can’t trust a cop,who can you trust. And don’t ever trust a cop in Mexico.

mexico may be imploding.
the drug cartels blasted the new calderon drug intelligence guy last week.
And this probably explains why that grotesque "immigration compromise" was attempted to be rushed through these last few days, and also why Clintonista Bill Richards announced his presidential bid in English and in Spanish. Both acts meant to rush to the material and morale aid of a bunch of foreigners.
They are afraid Mexico is plunging into civil war, and rather than a "manly defense", as I believe Thomas Jefferson once called it, they want continued coddling of Mexicans, subjugating the Republic of the United States to third world toilet bowls, and the continuation of rich, privileged families everywhere to go on making all decisions for their own benefit only.
Good work if you can get it (I guess), but the Immigration Crime Against America has reached it's natural dead end, and this Mexican Collapse, or Revolution, or Dissolution, or whatever it is, will be their problem only, and very soon all of them here in our country will be heading back to participate in it (against their wills, that is.)
Who knows, since they now know what a real country looks and functions like, they may even hammer Crapexico into being a place worth living in. Stranger things have happened, but this will be happening in their dirty country, at their expense, not ours.

The press secretary for the California Republican Party is the son of illegal aliens who came the USA 35 years ago.
In this article he chronicles how in recent years there has been a massive change in the number and kind of illegals coming north. Including a crimnal element that is causing a deterioration in the quality of life of Americans. Consider this article
Illegal aliens murder 12 Americans daily Death toll in 2006 far overshadows total U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq, Afghanistan
People have been referring to the
Captains Quarters as a rebuke to the assertions of the article. The Captain's Quarters makes the assertion that -- for the numbers to be true -- it would have to be the case that a small number of people were committing a lot of crimes. That is to say far outside the statistical norm for the USA. The problem is that he didn't actually check the federal stats. As it happens it is the case that illegals tend to be very repeat offenders.
Below are some government stats to back up the article's assertioms
From the FBI crime statistics * An estimated 16,692 persons were murdered nationwide in 2005, an increase of 3.4 percent from the 2004 figure. * Murder comprised 1.2 percent of the overall estimated number of violent crimes in 2005. (Based on Table 1.) * There were an estimated 5.6 murders per 100,000 inhabitants.
Illegal Alien Crime Wave
On April 7, 2005, the US Justice Department issued a report on criminal aliens that were incarcerated in federal and state prisons and local jails. In the population study of 55,322 illegal aliens, researchers found that they were arrested at least a total of 459,614 times, averaging about 8 arrests per illegal alien. Nearly all had more than 1 arrest. Thirty-eight percent (about 21,000) had between 2 and 5 arrests, 32 percent (about 18,000) had between 6 and 10 arrests, and 26 percent (about 15,000) had 11 or more arrests. Most of the arrests occurred after 1990. They were arrested for a total of about 700,000 criminal offenses, averaging about 13 offenses per illegal alien. One arrest incident may include multiple offenses, a fact that explains why there are nearly one and half times more offenses than arrests. Almost all of these illegal aliens were arrested for more than 1 offense. Slightly more than half of the 55,322 illegal aliens had between 2 and 10 offenses.
CRIMINAL HISTORY
More than two-thirds of the defendants charged with an immigration offense were identified as having been previously arrested. Thirty-six percent had been arrested on at least 5 prior occasions; 22%, 2 to 4 times; and 12%,1 time. Sixty-one percent of those defendants had been convicted at least once; 18%, 5 or more times; 26%, 2 to 4 times; and 17%, 1 time. Of those charged, 49% had previously been convicted of a felony: 20% of a drug offense; 18%, a violent offense; and 11%, other felony offenses. Twelve percent had previously been convicted of a misdemeanor. Defendants charged with unlawful reentry had the most extensive criminal histories. Nine in ten had been previously arrested. Of those with a prior arrest, half had been arrested on at least 5 prior occasions. Fifty-six percent of those charged with a reentry offense had previously been convicted of a violent or drug-related felony. By contrast, under half of those charged with alien smuggling, a third of those charged with unlawful entry, and just over a quarter those charged with misuse of visas and other charges had previously been arrested. The criminal histories of these defendants were generally less extensive: more than 70% had been previously arrested fewer than 5 times. We need to seal the borders, and let the people of Mexico figure it out on their own. The country has vast potential but is being ruined by a bunch of political & criminal elites.
Americans should also boycott travel to the country, IMO.

The thing that not properly understood is that Mexico is exporting their murderous mafia to the USA. Take a look at the people wanted for murder in every city of the USA. More Americans killed by illegal aliens than Iraq war, study says
When you start digging into the numbers the only ones that can be sourced with the feds are the number of American murdered in 2005: 16692
I have seen federal numbers for illegals held in jail ranging from 19.3% to 27% of the federal prison population.
Here's a sampling of USA cities wanted for murder. What you'll see is that in big USA cities like LA or NYC most of the murderers are Hispanic. Unknown are the % of illegals. In smaller cities the FBI will post the nationalities of the murderers. About 25% of the most wanted are illegals wanted for murder. This number agrees with the percentage of illegals incarcerated in federal prisons. +-25%
Pictures of top 10 most wanted in LA. Up until recent stories about crime in LA posted by the LA Times--the pictures included the nationality of the murderers. They were all foreign nationals and mostly Mexican.
Wanted for Murder in New York City.
Chicago wanted for Murder
Philadelphia wanted for murder
San Francisco wanted for Murder
New Orleans wanted for Murder
Pictures of suspects wanted for murder in Washington DC
FBI USA 10 most wanted. (two of 10 are Mexican nationals)
There are currently no exact numbers on the number of Americans killed by illegals. Part of the reason is that the government deliberately obscures the number. I talked on the phone with the head of statistics for the US Bureau of Prisons. He said his office wasn't allowed to publish the number of illegal alien murderers. Rather they were forced to put legal and non legal residents in the same category. I talked to ICE. They put out detailed numbers on illegal child molestors. However, they put out nothing on illegal murderers.
Part of the reason for the silence on the matter is that there is evidence to suggest that most Americans being killed by illegals are black--as is the suggestion in this LA Times Article.
All that said, it could be argued that if you include the number of illegals in state and local prisons the number of illegals in jail shrinks to 6% of the total prison population. Never the less if you multiply 16692 (the number of americans murdered in 2005) * .06 (illegal alien percent of total prison population) * 4 (the number of years the US has been in Iraq). The result is that more americans (4006) have been killed by illegals than have been killed in the Iraq war.
This point needs to be hammered home. Just as the liberals have hammered home the point about americans killed in Iraq.

in the 1980’s mexico was near another revolution,
and the reagan admin, busy with the contra wars in central america,
sent tanks and military aid to mexico,
and allowed the mexicans across the border as an escape valve
in order to dissipate the social problems.

Few Americans have much education about the horrors of the Mexican Civil War. It was fought with a rare viciousness where civilians were the majority of the victims, believed to number 900,000 dead, from a population of 15 million.
In some ways, it presaged the industrial genocides of the 20th Century, with railroad deportations of the Yaqui Indians into slavery in the Yucatan.
I mention this, because Mexico seems to be on a path towards such a Civil War again. There is no clear cause, yet, but a dozen different conflicts, that individually or collectively could propel that nation into chaos.
It is very possible, in that the drug cartels have billions of dollars at their disposal, and are rapidly learning how to create mercenary armies. The national and international gangs, such as MS-13, can also find common cause in bringing about disorder and collapse. The indigenous peoples movement adds another element, as does the huge disparity of wealth and power in the nation.
America could no longer be isolated from such anarchy, as we would face millions of refugees desperate to cross the border, perhaps dragging some of the conflict along with them.
Certainly the bemused attitude towards illegal immigration in Washington would have to change. Greed and cynicism to the problem would evaporate quickly when Americans started to die in large numbers.

“We need to seal the borders, and let the people of Mexico figure it out on their own. The country has vast potential but is being ruined by a bunch of political & criminal elites.” Are you referring to Mexico or the US? Things our corrupt political elites do to encourage Mexican emigration.
Free medical care to illegals.
Free education for illegals.
Free aid to dependent children for illegals.
Tying the hands of local and state police in dealings with illegals.
Jailing border patrol agents who are too aggressive in doing their job.
All this makes it certain that illegal emigration will not only continue but get worse. The political and criminal elites in Mexico are not the problem. The problem is the criminal political elites in the US.
It’s time to quit blaming the Mexicans for our emigration problems when the problems are wholly created by our own politicians.
