Other myths......it is called Propaganda.

1.Your President is lying to you.
2.This war is illegal.
3.You cannot win the war.
4.You have lost this war.

We've got a real problem when 35% of Democrats believe President Bush knew about the 9/11 attacks in advance.........how many are on the Soros payroll in order to keep those lies alive..........

The biggest myth is that Iraq is a war on terrorism. The war against AQ and bin Laden is still unfinished. Iraq is a war on Islamofascism, whatever the hell that is.

The biggest myth is that Iraq is a war on terrorism

Why do you say it’s not?

Terrorism is just a name. Enemies have to be identified.

A point that while true, is not really relevant.

The presentation states that “Religious Fanaticism” is not unique to Iraq and mentions Jim Jones as one of the examples of such religious baddies here in the US.

Jim Jones was NOT a religious fanatic. Read the transcripts of his last recorded harangues as his people are drinking the Kool Aid. He begs them to die like good Socialists and to their screams remarks that such terror is not the way for communists to die. There was no time for religious talk while “Revolutionary Suicide” was taking place.

Let’s chalk up Jim Jones as one firmly in the camp of Marxism and not of any sort of church other than a front for politics and race mixing as a fetish.

Yeah, I noticed that ... and the author also put in abortion clinic bombers. While there may be the very rare case of such a nut ... given the extreme rarity of those people compared to Islam, I find it hard to make some kind of equivolency between them and Islamic suicide bombers.

As to the rest of the presentation ... it has alot of good stuff in it but ignores the most basic issue that will determine our success or failure ... and that is domestic American politics. This is a war of wills, ours versus our enemies. They cannot beat us in a show of force or even in a war of attrition all other things being equal. But, they can break our will to fight. That is the key thing right now ... and this presentation ignores that key part of the war equation. Have we lost ... NO, can we win ... YES, will we win .... given our political climate I’d say the odds are against us. We are our worst enemy in this fight.

Myth # 1.
There is a War.

War was never declared.

Myth # 2
We are loosing.

We have achieved our major goals.

Myth # 3
Leaving now is surrender.

We won, let’s go home or into Iran.

Islamofascism is the term coined by our strategic communications people, such as they are, to identify the fanatical, misogynistic, donkey-raping, stuck-in-the 7th Century, Jew-hating, Nazi-worshipping MUSLIM BAD GUYS who have been at war with Western Christendom for 1400 years, and at war with America since 1979 (Iran), 1906 (Morocco), 1899-1913 (Philippines), 1804-1815 (Barbary Pirates). Do you have a better term for them?

We aren't really at war with the IRA, or the ETA, or the LTTE, because they have been smart enough not to draw our wrath.

This is good and makes one wonder again why this administration is not getting the real truth out to the American public.

One question re troop equipment. Why not equip all troops with GPS devices?

“...Have we lost ... NO, can we win ... YES, will we win .... given our political climate I’d say the odds are against us. We are our worst enemy in this fight...”

Yes it looks like the Army has almost pulled off the impossible mission of establishing a “republic” (imperfect as all are and fragile as all republics are) in Iraq. But the victory should have been declared when Baghdad Bob fled and later when Saddam fell through the trap door. A stable government after we depart is not what earmarks victory.

"Iraq is a war on Islamofascism, whatever the hell that is."

Are you kidding around or don't you really understand that virtually all acts of 'terrorism' committed in the world today are done by Islamofacists (Islamists)?

Are you talking about tagging troops with GPS homers?

Because Russia could break the code, sell the technology to Iran and Iran will give it to the terrorists.
